Wednesday, March 12th, 2008Fish Fillet in Olive Oil and Lemon Juice
Tuesday, March 11th, 2008Check out this quick and easy meal that I’ve “perfected” heehee! My Dear Hubby doesn’t really like eating fish, so to “force” him to eat fish I experimented with this recipe, which he thankfully enjoys!
Ingredients:
fish fillets
lemon (use zest and juice)
salt and pepper
bread crumbs
olive oil
cilantro
1. Rub fillet with lemon zest, salt and pepper. Coat with bread crumbs .
2. In a frying pan, pour olive oil and wait until it gets hot. Place fillets on the pan and fry until golden brown. Add lemon juice and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
3. Top with chopped cilantro and serve.
It only takes me 15 minutes to prepare this dish and it’s always a hit! You can serve it with pasta or rice.
Vivienne Westwood for Melissa
Monday, March 10th, 2008I found out from my friend Chico’s blog that these exclusively designed shoes by Vivienne Westwood for Melissa will sell for Php 7,500 in the Philippines!
Given that this is a creation of the fabulously eccentric British designer Vivienne Westwood, and Melissa shoes are known for being comfortable, would you buy plastic shoes for Php 7,500?
Mojito Mojo
Friday, March 7th, 2008I really don’t drink alcohol, but if ever I do, this is my favorite! A mojito!!!
It is a traditional Cuban cocktail traditionally made of five ingredients: rum, sugar or sugar cane juice, lime, carbonated water and mint. I just love the taste of sweet sugar, mixed with the refreshing flavors of citrus and mint, spiked with a kick of rum.
Yum yum! Hehehe!
Craving for Churros
Thursday, March 6th, 2008I was going through my pictures and stumbled upon this photo of Xocolat churros!
This really was so good! The churros were crunchy outside but when dipped in the thick hot chocolate turned into a gooey and yummy mess! I loved every single bite of it!
Then again, I’ve always enjoyed eating churros. Even the ones from Dulcinea were pretty good! Hay, I miss the food back home!
Hello Kitty Easter Egg Decorating Kit
Wednesday, March 5th, 2008Our local Target makes me so excited for Easter! They have everything from Easter Egg baskets to plastic eggs, chocolates, marshmallow chicks and bunnies and so many Easter Egg hunt themed goodies!
When I was little, we used to paint Easter Eggs ourselves. We’d drain the egg by poking a small hole on each end, and blow out the egg white and yolk. Of course, that makes the egg shell very very fragile, but it makes the egg a work of art indeed! But those who want to do it easy work with boiled eggs. That of course will make your Easter egg not just a work of art, but a beautiful edible one at that! Heehee!
Anyway, here’s what I stumbled upon at Target! A Hello Kitty Easter Egg Decorating Kit!
I wonder how our Easter Eggs will look like if we use this!
Gerard Darel 24 Hour Bag
Tuesday, March 4th, 2008I am obsessed about this Gerard Darel bag:
Ugh! I just have to have it! I like it because I like anything French, heehee! But seriously, the reason why I am wanting this bag so bad is because it is the anti-thesis of an “It” bag. No labels, no logos, relatively unknown. Best of all, the leather is so soft and it costs less than $500!!! So perfect right?
I haven’t been to Paris since 1997, but I believe it when people say that almost all the girls in France have this bag! I’m not surprised, it really is chic and the design makes it a classic. Kind of like the Longchamp bags that were toted by every other lady I saw on the streets of Paris over a decade ago, this Gerard Darel bag made quite an instant impression on me!
I love love love it! There’s the python version too, and that has found its way to my wishlist as well! But, I’m in no rush to buy that. I will “settle” with basic black in the meantime =)
