Hello Kitty Strawberry Marshmallows
Wednesday, December 12th, 2007I love going to Han Ah Reum, better known as H Mart, the Korean grocery near our place! Apart from the fact that they have all these authentic Asian food items and kimchi, they have super cute snacks as well, such as this…
To be honest, my Dear Hubby and I haven’t really tried it, but I bought it just because it looks so cute! Besides, if it’s from Hello Kitty, then it must be good right? ![]()
Swedish Meatballs from IKEA
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007IKEA is known for their cheap, well-designed and functional furniture…
But they are also well known for their meatballs!!!
So after a couple of hours browsing through their displays, and imagining how you would set up your own home, why not sit down and enjoy a yummy meal right there in IKEA as you finalize your shopping list!!!
Loeffler Randall Emmy D-Ring Boots
Monday, December 10th, 2007Please please please go on sale! I implore the Universe to heed my call!!!
I’ve searched high and low for winter boots and these are the best ones I’ve seen so far! These Loeffler Randall boots will go with just about anything and can be dressed up or down! I also like the fact the the toe is shaped in a classic way, not too rounded, not at all square nor pointy - which makes it a classic in my book!
The brains behind the shoe company that makes the sort of shoes I really want to wear are husband and wife Jessie Loeffler Randall and Brian Murphy. They started only in 2004 and look at where they are now! With the simple philosophy of designing shoes they want to wear but couldn’t find (we have the same taste in shoes apparently heehee!) the label has become a fast favorite among fashionistas and Hollywood stars alike!

The New York Palace Hotel
Saturday, December 8th, 2007If you watch Gossip Girl, you will definitely recognize this hotel:
Yup! That’s the hotel owned by Chuck’s family! And where Serena and her mom and brother live! Here’s a closer shot inside the gates…
As my sister-in-law and I went closer, we saw a couple of cameras and equipment and we thought, “Hey! They might be setting up for a shoot here!”
If it was for Gossip Girl, we really don’t know! =)
Jamba Juice
Friday, December 7th, 2007If you’re craving for a healthy smoothie, there’s no place to go but Jamba Juice!
Jamba Juice uses real fruit and 100% fruit juices and may be mixed with sherbet, frozen yogurt, sorbet, plain yogurt, lower-calorie dairy base or soymilk. Healthy and yummy!
If you’re feeling the sniffles or you just want more energy, you may opt for a boost addition, and choose among Soy Protein, Immunity, Energy, Daily Vitamin, Fiber, Weight Burner, Matcha, or Heart Happy!
The great thing about Jamba Juice smoothies is that you can tinker with the recipe! You may remove or add ingredients or make substitutes according to your taste!
So when you see a Jamba Juice store or a stall in Whole Foods, why not treat yourself to something good and healthy? Remember, health is wealth! And healthy doesn’t always mean yucky!
Whole Foods Carrot Cake
Thursday, December 6th, 2007If you like sweets but get guilty for indulging, I suggest you try this “healthy” dessert from Whole Foods!
Because it’s made with carrots, and the icing is actually cream cheese and not confectioner’s sugar, it really is quite healthy, not to mention yummy!
I love it so much that I had Whole Foods Carrot Cake as my birthday cake!
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets
Wednesday, December 5th, 2007A trip to New York will not be complete without doing a bit of shopping, so should you have the chance to go out of the city, I suggest that you go to Central Valley, New York and visit Woodbury Common Premium Outlets to do some more shopping!
Woodbury Common is the largest OUTLET destination in the United States! With 220 stores, from premium brands like Gucci, Tods, Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior, Chanel, YSL, Loro Piana, Burberry and Judith Leiber to labels like True Religion, Betsey Johnson, UGG, Lacoste, Kate Spade and Tory Burch you’ll surely get excited right? Of course, outlet staples like Nine West, Le Sportsac, GAP, Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren are there as always. From clothing to home goods, kitchen supplies, sporting goods, luggages and furniture, there’s enough to keep the whole family happy! Note, you’d need a whole day to make the most of your visit there!
If you don’t have friends or relatives who can drive you there, there are shopping excursions to Woodbury Common from Port Authority, New York City (42nd Street & Eighth Avenue). Bus fare is approximately $30, round trip. So go ahead, and shop till you drop!
The Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center
Monday, December 3rd, 2007A favorite place for filming romantic New York City scenes in the movies, Rockefeller Center’s ice skating rink is a “must visit” for both locals and tourists alike. The Ice Rink is not open the whole year round, so when the skating rink is set up, it is as if to signal that Christmas is just around the corner!
For a fee of $18 you get to experience a truly unique New York City tradition, that may even make you feel like a character in a romantic movie! Heehee!
I have yet to try it! But I am sure it will be so much fun! I think this is one of those things that you must do should you have the chance to visit New York during the fall/winter season!
