This has got to be the best toy store I have ever been to ever!

When it comes to their selection of stuffed toys, nothing beats F.A.O. Schwarz. They have the most realistic, if not the most humonguous ones I have ever seen.

Then again, they are the most expensive toys I’ve come across as well! Talk about stuffed animals that run into the hundreds if not thousands of dollars! Which is not a surprise, after all this flagship store is located on Fifth Avenue, the priciest street in Manhattan, and caters to Upper Eastsiders and loaded tourists who can afford to ship these toys back home.

This fabulous toy store was founded by Frederick August Otto Schwarz, (yep, that’s how the store name FAO Schwarz came about) and his three brothers from Westphalia, Germany more than 145 years ago. What started as a simple toy store is now “a must-see world-famous experience.”

Why? Because “FAO Schwarz is not only the oldest toy store in the United States, but one of the oldest retail establishments of any kind.”

How’s that for history and fun thrown into the mix?
