My Hero

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

I wanted to take some time to appreciate all the heroic things my dad has done.

1) There was a man praying on the sidewalk. He had two little girls with him. I was walking by with my parents when the little girls ran into the street, and there was a car coming. My dad ran, picked them up, and brought them back seconds before the car passed.

2) Our neighbor’s house was on fire. Their dad wasn’t there, so none of them knew what to do. Our door was open because my nanny was giving them a plate of something, and we suddenly heard screaming. My dad grabbed the fire extinguisher and ran there to put it out.

3) There was a group of high school kids smoking in front of or building. Suddenly, one of them fell and began shaking. We were watching from a distance, but my dad rushed to them and put a backpack under the boy’s head. Then, he called the ambulance.

4) We were having lunch at a restaurant. There was an old woman walking by slowly and painfully. She tripped and fell down, and began to moan on the floor. My dad picked her up and found the people that were with her.

I like to think that someday, my dad is going to save a life. Or maybe he already has? Of he hadn’t put put the fire, rescued the girls, or called the ambulance, what would have happened to those people? I love my dad
