It was meant to be sold as prints to help the victims of Ondoy, also known as Ketsana in the international news. Sadly, I didn’t find a good printing service, and decided instead to raise awareness to people and get them to donate wherever they may be and whatever mode of payment they may like.

It’s a bit frustrating that there are still some places where it’s still flooded when the typhoon occurred back in September. And really, doesn’t it make people wonder, that maybe it was really the damns that caused the flood and not the rain?

Ok, rant aside, you will notice there are two sets of writings, one on top of the other for the background. That is actually an unofficial translation of the Philippine National Anthem, “Lupang Hinirang”. Depending also on which character you prefer, you can turn it upside-down or right-side up.

Hope everyone likes this~ It’s one of the few times I drew the pencil work clean enough to not need inking any longer. ^^; Doesn’t happen often, I assure you!

This is actually an old work of mine that I forgot about and never finished. Aside from the obvious reason that I was procrastinating, I drew this on a paper that made ink bleed.

I thought I had to redraw it to make it clean enough for coloring.

But I really liked the expression on his face so I scanned it, and cleaned it up on photoshop. It worked out pretty well, considering it’s really just a sketch. And I really like the watercolor effect with the sketchy outline… it’s a good combination and I think I’ll experiment with this more in my future illustrations.

…that is, as soon as I finish fixing my computer. He’s been giving me problems lately, and I hope I can fix him… or back up everything before he dies on me. ;_;

I’ve been feeling very creative lately, which led me to drawing the Game Masters in HKO. I remember sometime last year, Level-Up introduced the GMs on their live streaming. And… well, since it was live streaming, you can’t really see the GM’s faces too well.

The live chat did let people talk about what the GM’s looked like though! Most of the guys (and gals) were saying GM Abby was really cute! I remember them saying GM Neverender has really cool hair and that they wanted an HKO item like that. Haha~ And of course, GM Bacon was really, really white!

I’m not even sure how accurate this portrait is, but I did send this during Hello Kitty’s Birthday. I got featured in two Sanriotown blogs, so I’m really happy Sanriotown likes it..?

I just hope the GMs like it too~ I wonder if we’ll get to see what the other GMs look like~? ♫

I think I may have been watching too many vampire films like Moon Light and Vampire Knight. And no, I do not like Twilight. Vampires do not glow.

This might be a little surprising to most people, as they know me to ship Hiiromi (Hiiragi/Kuromi), but I actually also ship Keita (Hiiragi/Uta). I’m not very loyal to my OTPs, am I? -_-;;;

There’s also something very cute about Jun and Uta, but I don’t think there are a lot of supporters of this pairing. Truthfully, I think Uta would be better off with Jun than Kogure… But that pairing also has its cute moments.

The kiss in the nose and the kiss on the lips were especially difficult, so I had to ask some people to give me some ideas. Then again, kiss on the ear practically killed me.

That concept, along with the idea of giving Earl Cain Hargreaves a pimped top hat to look like Ciel Phantomhive’s became this. I’ve never actually seen a card from those cafés, but I imagine this is sort of what they’d look like.

I like how the photo I took of a real café worked really well into the artwork. Deep blues and purples really work well for Cain, though I think I should have drawn in more feathers… the skull on his hat was really fun to pain too! I might try drawing one again later on… Maybe an artwork of Ciel next?

I wish my scanner would get fixed soon though… I want to finish my doujin already! ;~;

…also, I find this commotion over the “doctored photo” really amusing. Haha! I hope you guys enjoy it too~

Then I went to the cafe to read it. It was rather cute… despite the vampire-ish genre that people have come to use and abuse lately, RE: play was pretty nice to read.

Then I found Nyanko-chan on Deviant Art and joined her contest.

I’m happy I got a special mention. It was a pretty fun contest, and I wish I had found out about it sooner, so that I could have prepared more.

You have to admit, Cake Angels like Tag really are the best kind of angels.

Unfortunately, my scanner died on me. I have a few pages I want to work on, but I can’t until I get my scanner fixed. And I haven’t had the time to do so lately.

I’m a little worried about my brother… he’s older than me, so I should be worried, actually. ~_~ I must be weird or something.

Now that I’m looking this cover again, though… I can tell you the perspective is totally off for this picture. I need to draw more characters will different backgrounds for practice.

However, I think I want to learn how to be less anime like and blend the colors more. I’m just impatient with the blending process as it takes up a lot of time.

I’m beginning to loosen up a little now. I used to not correct my ink work on the PC because I felt it was “cheating” to do so. For this piece, I went ahead and flipped, moved, redraw anything I thought needed to be changed. I’m pretty happy with how this came out… although I’ll probably change the color of the teapot on the right. and edit the BG a little bit.

I think I want to draw other characters now…

I’ve been busy running around a lot lately. I wanted to draw something with a lot of detail on it, and a friend of mine sent me a fanart of Onegai My Melody showing some of the characters cosplaying as Rozen Maiden characters. I wanted to expand on it a little bit more, since it only had Uta dressed as Shinku, Koto dressed as Suiseiseki, and My Melody dressed as Hinaichigo.

I came up with this art, “Onegai My Rozen Maiden Melody”, featuring all 8 dolls from Rozen Maiden. I only wonder if Hiiragi and Jun will kill me for dressing them up as Kirakishou and Barasuishou? Haha!

I don’t like the background too much though. I might end up re-drawing that later on.
