We’re all a little… mad.

I didn’t draw this, but I did color it. It’s for a contest done by Nyanko-chan, and if you’ve been following my blog for a while, then you’d know this is the second contest from her that I joined. The first one was a fanart contest, which I got a special mention from.

Sadly, I didn’t win this time, but someone did drop me a note asking if they could use this as a base for their cosplay. Haha! I never thought someone would ask me that! So I asked Nyanko-chan too and she was ok with it.

I just hope they go through with the cosplay! I’m so excited! x3

Now that I’m seeing this page again, I need to find some good manga tones. I don’t like the way my thought bubbles look, haha. Anyone have any suggestions?

Evil Hiiragi looks really nice, and I like how his hand turned out in the 2nd panel (the one on the upper right). I’m pretty surprised Uta recovered quickly. Then again, she was thinking out loud without realizing it.

I’m now wondering if I should take drawing webmanga a little more seriously. Maybe professionally too? Hahaha~

There was a moment when I was posting updates in Mote-Mote that I realized a page seemed to be missing. I had to check and re-check the script again and decided to add this page, even though I already posted the page after it.

…wait, that’s a little confusing. What I mean is, page 8 became page 9, and I had to draw another page 8. Is that any better?

In any case, I’m really happy with how the wings came out on this one compared to page 6. I really love drawing wings, and now I wish I had drawn more feather details into this. Oh well… I can always make up for it on the next pages I guess.

Personally, I don’t think intense music is a bad thing. Violinists in particular tend to play their instrument with a lot of passion. That’s just how they are, I think, and that’s also why I admire them so much.

I think I may have made a mistake with the 3rd panel. I think I should have changed the shades of gray to something darker or lighter to show that it isn’t part of the present conversation.

Then again, I like to nitpick at things too much~

I hope you guys like the manga so far! 2010 may mark some slower updates, but hopefully it will be more regular than last year’s! ^_^
