Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plushies

Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plush - England

If you’re familiar with the British Royal Guard, the ones that don’t smile, move or make any facial expressions at all, then this is really a weird concept. :P Imagine Hello Kitty not smiling, not talking or moving at all!

This is part of a series of ‘Thank You’ plushies available at the Sanrio Shop, where Hello Kitty dresses up in costumes from different countries. The one above is from England, and here are the rest of them~ Enjoy!

Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plush - USA

Hello Kitty as the Statue of Liberty, representing the USA.

Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plush - Brazil

Cute costume from Brazil, with their way of saying thanks, “Obrigado”! I like the feathery headpiece, and that she has eyelashes ^^ Though I don’t think I could wear something like this myself :P

Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plush - Korea

This one’s from Korea, with their national costume, the Hanbok. Thank you in Korean is “Kamsahamnida” ^^

Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plush - China

I don’t know what’s written! Haha but it’s “thank you” as well I suppose :P I asked some Chinese friends and they say it isn’t the way they write “Xie xie” which would be how they say it in Mandarin. Oh well ^^;

Hello Kitty ‘Thank You’ Plush - Japan

And finally, what seems to be the prettiest of all, the Japanese Hello Kitty saying “arigatou”~

As you can see, each country comes in a set of 3. The largest one is your regular stand-alone plushie, while the smaller one is a bag accessory and the smallest one is a cellphone strap.

Each set costs ¥3,423 or about US$32. They’re featured on page 44-45 of the Sanrio Special Catalogue, and you can check them out on the Sanrio shop ^^

Hello Kitty Brick

Just a quick post! Look what I found on Brickshelf, a very odd Hello Kitty! Such defined eyelashes~ I think the flowers are adorable though. :P
Anyways, I’ve been tagged by Kittymama in her latest blog, but I haven’t finished with my answers and sorta have to run off now, so I’ll post them tomorrow ^^ So you’ll be learning more about the gal behind KTS~ Till then!

Hello Kitty Smile Set

Hello Kitty Smile Set 01

Try to get over the shock of Hello Kitty with a (visible) mouth and without a nose. Inhale, exhale. Okay. This is a set of 3 items per design — a rubber band for the hair, a Kitty-shaped mini towel and a wire mascot that you can move around. And now it’s time to see the rest of the designs~ XD

Hello Kitty Smile Set 02 Hello Kitty Smile Set 03

I actually think they’re cute! Silly-looking, but cute! I’m not sure what they were thinking (the pic on the left is so funny XD) but I like that you can move her around. The wire “mascot” actually has magnets on her hands and feet~ Perfect! ^^

Click those images to view deails on them on the Sanrio shop. They cost 1,711 Yen per set, or around US$16. You can now go back to staring at the silly Kitty face ^^

The Real Hello Kitty Car

The Real Hello Kitty Car

Aha. Forget about those other cars you’ve seen with Hello Kitty, this has got to be the ultimate Hello Kitty car~ :P

I found this on a site called Sparklette, on this one post on Puroland. I’ve actually never been to Puroland (sob sob) but oh man, if I ever go to Japan I’m definitely paying a visit!

This is in Kitty’s House, one of the attractions there. Wah I wish it were an actual car, I mean that you could actually drive it (even if not on actual roads :P)~ oh oh and maybe her eyes could be the headlights. ^^

A-nation Presents: Hello Kitty for Boys!

A-Nation x Choro Q x Hello Kitty

This is so weird! I mean, aside fro the fact that this IS Hello Kitty, this one has absolutely no girliness in it!

Okay, shock has passed.

This is a limited-edition item that costs ¥3,000 each (about US$26), made especially for A-nation ‘07. It’s mostly made of resin and rubber

So what exactly is “A-Nation”? I’m not that up-to-date with Jpop stuff, but from what I gather, it’s a huge tour by many popular Jpop (Japanese Pop) artists on a special stage, held for a cause. I believe it’s been held for the past several years now, and hundreds of thousands of people go to see this concert every year.

So this is basically a collaboration between 3 parties: A-nation, toy manufacturer Choro Q, and of course Sanrio~

I think blue is A-nation’s theme color, at least for this year. Btw if any of you have more info on A-nation (as my Japanese isn’t that good), I’d appreciate any help at all ^^

Click the link to read the rest of the entry, there’s another (BLUE) promo item for this event, this time with Be@rbrick!

Hello Kitty Mini Bowling Set

Hello Kitty Mini Bowling Set

Another one from Eikoh, but this time I have purchase info ^^

It’s called the Hello Kitty American Retro Bowling Set, probably in commemoration of the time when bowling became hugely popular in the United States.

To use it, you have to aim the little chute thingy to roll a tiny metal ball toward the nine pins. Sure you won’t get to excercise your swinging arm, but this looks like fun XD It has a mini gutter too~

And either of the two life-size pins you see come in the bundle. The pins are 30cm tall. The whole thing costs US$20, which I guess is fairly reasonable. ^^

You can check it out at the National Console Support online shop~

Hello Kitty Action Retro Love Heart Swinging Clock

Hello Kitty Action Retro Swinging Clock

I know, what a long name haha~ This is one of the sweetest things I’ve seen on the Sanrio shop. It would make an awesome gift, the person doesn’t even have to be a Kitty fan ^^

There’s apparently a whole series of “Action Retro Love” from Eikoh — a company that specializes in amusement games like gashapons, pluch toys, etc.

Umm it isn’t for sale so I’m afraid I can’t give you any purchase details today >_< It’s actually a prize in Japan… for what kind of game I forgot (sorry!) But I promise, next post will be something that can be purchased by international Hello Kitty fans ^^

Well, on a more personal note. I haven’t bought ay presents for Christmas yet! Waaah! I only have two (2) weeks left… What’s wrong with me?! >_< I don’t even know what to get them yet T_T

Hope you guys are doing better in the Christmas shopping area. Christmas rush, here I come~ @_@

Hello Kitty Message Straps

Saturday, December 1st, 2007
Hello Kitty is not mad…

Super cute! I don’t remember when I last saw this much attitude from a Hello Kitty item~ :P This is part of a series of Hello Kitty items with 4 different emotions and messages. It’s so cute coz you can actually use this one, say for instance you ARE mad, and want to let a certain someone know. Haha~

At the back of these straps, you can find a Japanese message which sorta gives the same effect as the English lines in front. The one behind this black heart reads “怒ってませんよ…” or “Okottemasen yo…”

Check out the other designs (equally adorable) and item info by clicking the link to the rest of the entry. Enjoy~ ^^

Kittybricks (Featuring “Soft Hard”)

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007
KittyBricks

Here’s another Hello Kitty collectible set for all of you. This is the KittyBrick collection from McDonald’s.

The black and white Hello Kitty bricks at the top are actually designs taken from characters in Hong Kong pop culture. They’re called “Soft Hard”, and actually are representations of an alternative music group by the same name. Soft Hard is made up of actor and singer Jan Lam and Eric Kot. Actually I had to look them up so if I got anything wrong, please tell me~

These were given as prizes, if I’m not mistaken, for some contest. I so want the Soft Hard ones! Umm.. unfortunately since they were limited edition promo items, the supply isn’t that high. You can buy some of them off Happyhappytoytoy, or search on eBay. They go for around 9 USD each~

Hello Kitty Portable Cell Phone Charger

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

This may or may not be what you expect. I for one was thinking, all cellphone chargers are portable as long as you can find a power outlet, but this solves even that minor detail.

Hello Kitty Cellphone Charger

This charger actually runs on 2 AAA batteries, and what you do is you connect your phone to this Hello Kitty gadget via the connector cable, and it’ll use that power to charge your phone. As for how much it’ll actually charge, apparently there’s a regulation law for that (I don’t see why, but there is) so I can’t really tell you now with my limited Japanese.

As you can see in the picture on the lower right, Kitty’s blushing~ Those red spots are actually LEDs, and they’ll determine how much power is left in your batteries. They’ll weaken as you use up the power, and will completely go out when your batteries are drained or if you disconnect your phone.

It also doubles as an accessory as you’ll see in this page, and I think it’s great just to have around for those critical times when you forget to charge and really need your phone ^^ It costs 998 Yen (only aboutUS$9!) and you can check other purchase details here. ^^
