Earth’s Final Defense!

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

We’re under attack by 8-bit invaders! Aaah! But wait! Who’s this? Riding on a red spaceship? Could she be the one? Earth’s final defense?

Space Invaders~
(image from StrapYa)

Haha pardon the cheesy intro :P If the little white thingy beside our funny-looking Hello Kitty seems familiar, then I salute you! Space Invaders is one of the real classics in arcade and video games, created by the game developer Taito way back in 1978. If it still isn’t familiar, maybe this will help:

Woohoooo

And now you see the little white critter among fellow aliens, on the second and third rows from the top. Haha~ Oh man, this brings so many childhood memories LOL. This has got to be one of the most influential games of all time.

Anyways this is yet another cellphone charm, costs US$ I seriously didn’t expect this crossover from Sanrio haha, but it’s cute. Hello Kitty has never looked so…pixelated. Moohaha~

Oh oh, also, Belated Happy Birthday to one of my readers (whose blog I also love visiting) … angelchao! Hurray! Hope you had a great one! :)

Hello Kitty Key Caps

Key Cap 02

I have the key to my work cabinet strapped to my celphone, but since finding this, I feel so…incomplete… :(

They’re Hello Kitty key caps, where you can put your keys for safe keeping. A very stylish way to keep your keys safe and to make sure you don’t leave them at home. I like how well-made they are, but then again I should expect no less from StrapYa. It comes in other designs too, lookie~

Key Cap 03 Key Cap 04

Prices range from US$4 to just under US$8, depending on the design. As you’ll see in the pictures, they actually have lights when you squeeze them. See, the genius of this is that they don’t just look like keys, they really look good. I want so badly. I especially like that they used pink and black, I really love that combination. :)

You can check out more about these key caps through the StrapYa site. This one I honestly think is practical. In a stylish way. Wait, did I contradict myself? I mean, if you’re gonna get a key cap, make it a Hello Kitty one. LOL :P

DS Kitty Covers

DS Kitty Cover

Now these are designs heheh. I like the first and last one, and I bet they’d look real cool on my DS.. except that.. I don’t HAVE a DS! LOL! But actually if I were to get a portable console, it would probably be a DS.

I dunno, something about the PSP. I mean, I wouldn’t throw it away if I got one, but it just wouldn’t be my first choice. Sure, the PSP’s cooler and has better titles, but the types of games in the DS are the types of games I’d play when I’m outside.  I just don’t like the idea of me playing when I’m outdoors, coz usually that’s when I’m with friends and stuff.. I’d wanna be talking to them instead of playing. But even if there are some times that I’m out alone, I guess I’d just rather be walking around and listening to music.

Yes, what I said would probably qualify me as a traitor to the gaming world. But hey, I just dowanna look back and wonder where all those hours went. Heheh. :P

Hello Kitty FM Transmitter

FM Transmitter

I checked the price for something like this sometime ago, and it was so expensive! I don’t get it, the one I checked was just a simple one even. So unfair! Anyways I just needed to share that harhar, let’s move on…

What is it exactly? It’s an accessory for the iPod, lemme give you the specs so I don’t miss anything:

* Mobile FM Transmitter for Wireless Car Audio
* Compatible with iPod - 4th Generation, iPod Video - 5th Generation, iPod Photo, iPod mini
* Features: Play iPod Through Car Stereo on Any FM Station, Full FM Tuning Capabilities for Clear Sound
* Operates up to 10 Feet Away
* 30-Pin Pass-Through Connector Inputs
* Made of Hard Plastic
* Additional Features: For Entertainment while Travelling, Setup is Easy with Autoseek, Easy Use, Easy Set-Up

I found it on Amazon by the way, and I think it’s very useful. A lot of times I want to play my iPod loud and can’t without bringing speakers. Yeah I know, speakers are easier to bring than a radio, but this is still better because you can use it for your car speaker, or any other device with FM transmission, for that matter.

Sometimes my brother borrows my iPod for dance practice too, and I’m sure they’d appreciate it since a sound system (in the studio or wherever) would sound better than ordinary PC speakers, which they usually use.

I asked how something like this works, and this is what I was told: You set a frequency that the transmitter will use, and when you turn your radio to that frequency, it’ll play whatever’s playing on your iPod. Pretty cool huh? It’s like having your own radio station.

Now…I wonder if my brother will use this even if it’s Hello Kitty. :P

Lolita Kitty

lolita goth lolita

“NOBARA TAKEMOTO is a Japanese famous writer and designer. Since his first essay, “Soreinu” was published, he has been regarded as a leader of Japanese lolita field. He is always a frontire, you can feel his spirits and sense from Lolita Kitty.”

Haha, well that was taken from the site I got this from (StrapYa) and apparently, that Nobara Takemoto guy is one of the top dogs in Japanese fashion…where lolita is a very good thing and isn’t considered too bizarre. If you click those images, you’ll see the figures are rather detailed. Personally, I like the black one better…but I like the pink hat. XD I’m not particularly even into goth and lolitas, but on Hello Kitty I gotta admit it looks cute and very interesting. It’s like Hello Kitty with an attitude (or going through a real weird but fun phase heheh) And I want a black rose that big for my hair too. Am I turning goth? GASP. These are cell phone charms by the way, and personally, I think the term fits them well.

Kitty’s wearing mascara~ She’s all grown up. *sniff*

rims

rims2rims4rims3

If some of you have already seen the Hello Kitty car, or already have it heheh, then this could be something you’d wanna put on it. BAM. Hello Kitty rims!

- Size: 13-inch 5J offset+45
- Material: Aluminum alloy
- Weight: 6kg/1
- Standard: JWL, VIA, and JAWA quality recognition
- Manufacturing: Low-pressure casting and one piece (MADE IN CHINA): Laser beam machining and topcoat processing (MADE IN JAPAN)

Truth is, I’m not really sure what all of that means haha, but I just thought I’d put it there. The idea of having Hello Kitty rims is so amusing to me, because someone can take it as being either a discreet or vulgar way of showing love for Hello Kitty. Like when you’re stuck in traffic and people notice a faint design on your wheels, squint a little and they’ll see the Kitty goodness. Now if only they made spinners…or 18″ ones…or CHROME ones! Now that would be awesome. Oh and…if only I had my own car to go with it.

Hello Kitty Phone Part 2

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Pretty~ lol Pink XD

Because I still think the phone is cool, I poked around and found this! Apparently the phone also has a pink-lighted version, AND there’s a special “cover” (uh I dunno what to call it) for the phone so it’s semi-transparent. Look at the pictures! Is that not made of so much WIN? Why don’t all phone companies think of stuff as fun-stylish as this? Whyyyyy~?

Psychology Test for your pet hamster?

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

Interesting…The Sanrio Hello Kitty Mini Japanese Book Key Holder Charm (Psychology Test). Okay I’m not entirely sure how to explain this, or how to effectively defend the practicality and use of this item, but darn, is it cute. Haha, yes you’re seeing it right, it’s a mini keychain-book. Or book-keychain. But don’t be fooled! Just because it’s that small, it doesn’t mean it isn’t worth the read. There’s actual text in there, where Hello Kitty gives tips on different topics. This particular book is a “Psychology test” or so it says, though I can’t read enough Japanese to know for certain what’s in it.

There are other books (with corresponding designs and colors) such as fortune telling, diet, kabuki, exercise, puzzle and charm (hey, those are the exact words they used okay, I’m just as confused as you are). All of them just under 2 inches tall.

So why get a large, boring, psycologist-approved book when you can get this! Your hamster may thank you for it, provided it can read Japanese. ;)
