How do you make a signature?

On blogs and forums ect, How do you make a signature? It comes up with “insert image url” but I have no clue what an image url is. Can someone help me, please?

    An image URL is the webaddress on where your picture would come from, example is you can right click the hello kitty online blogroll on the right side of this window (—>) then select copy image location, if you paste it (on the address bar on top) you should be able to see this “http://blog.sanriotown.com/kittycutie-pie:hellokitty.com/wp-includes/images/hellokittyonlinegame_banner_88anim2.gif” And that is an image URL.

    When making a signature on our forums, you can click on preferences and you should be able to see there signature. And at the bottom, there’s a radio button option if you want to attach your signature or not.
