Hello Girls!~~ I have such a beautiful story to tell you today. This is a story of faith, hope, grief, and unconditional love; the story of Tiahna. This is a true story, but I am not going to mention last names for the sake of the family. There’s a family who lives in a town right next to the city I live in. There’s a mother, a father, and a six year old brother named Cameron. And Cameron’s little sister Tiahna….. Tiahna was born on October 2nd, 2005. She was born a beautiful, healthy, happy baby. Just as scheduled, she went back home to her famiy’s farm just two days after her birth. All was well. But on December 19th, 2005, little Tiahna was diagnosed with a rare kind of leukemia. After a lot of tough fighting and lots of prayers, Tiahna lost her fight and went to Heaven to be with Jesus on July 21st, 2006. She was not yet one year old. Her family has struggled so much because of this tremendous loss. However, each day, they grow stronger and stronger. I actually have met them once, they are friends with one of my BFFs’ mom. I met Tiahna’s mom, and her brother. Her brother is just as cute as she was… and he’s such a sweetie. And today, I found out some wonderful news. As it’s now been over a year since Tiahna’s passing, and Tiahna would have just turned 2 if she were here, Tiahna’s family has just shared with all of us that Tiahna and Cameron will receive a new baby brother or sister in the beginning of 2008. This is bittersweet, but it is such a huge step in the healing process for them. Even though I don’t even really know them, I am so proud of their tremendous faith and bravery. I have a feeling that Tiahna was whispering into God’s here when He gave this new baby to the family. The new baby will be born in 2008, like I said. But today, right now, I ask that you bow your head and say a prayer for this little girl’s family. Go ahead, do it. Right now. Pray that they continue to heal, and pray that they keep the faith, and turn to God in their troubles. Always. And pray for the happiness, health, and safety that they need. Pray for their ongoing progress as they continue in this journey; the journey of Tiahna.
