First of all, I ended up choosing the name “Kireu” because spaces are not allowed apparently anymore. So, when you start the game, you appear in the Dream Room, and you can decide if you want to do a brief training thing in the other Dream Rooms, or you can just go to the game. But if you go straight to the game, you’ll never be able to return back, so I just did the instructional tutorial. I thought the doors would never end (sorry just saying)! It didn’t help that much since I already knew, but you should still go there.

After I went there, I was at Sanrio Harbor, and since I couldn’t get it to connect yesterday, I had to start today. Because of this, I was really newbie-ish and I still am a little because most people started before me (homework). I did the first couple quests, and you actually get clothes in the beginning, unlike before. It’s really different than the CB, because you did the whole learning in Sanrio Harbor before, but now you did it in Dream Rooms so Sanrio Harbor was like the other rooms.

I did find it hard to attack monsters and talk to NPCs. I’m not sure if it’s just me or the system. I also found that it was hard for me to access the blog and e-mail through the game, and it kept lagging excessively until I couldn’t play at all. So I have to blog without playing the game. :’( Another thing I found is that Hello Kitty was actually in the Dream Room, while the site said that you would need to find Hello Kitty. In the CB, you had to work hard to finally get to the key to Hello Kitty’s house. But she’s right there, in the Dream Room. I also found a typo, with London spelled “Londan.” I was going to post a screenie, but I can’t connect to the game right now. Which brings me to another bug: when I can’t connect to the server, I have to go to the task manager to close it. It will not close on when I click the X button, because the mouse would disappear from behind the window. The mouse doesn’t move when it gets the “Cannot Connect to Server” window. Another thing is that they walk kinda slow when I want to go from one NPC to another, and I think that they should add a “run” feature like on other games, but it will take more energy. Ah, I have to e-mail all of this to them.

I did a couple quests, I should finish, but I feel like doing the blogging about it right now. And listening to my own music. A suggestion: keep everything you get, you might need it later. When I did the Shamrock gathering, I was like, “What is the need for these Rare Shamrocks?” and it turns out that I needed it for another quest. So be prepared. When you fight monsters, you will need to do the Sora quest first, to get the wand to fight. It might be the case that you can fight Hermit Crabs without a weapon, but I never tried it (I will need to check).

Well, right now I will try to connect to the game, again and again, and try to post up a screenie or two! I hope this has helped somewhat. See you in-game!

Ah, after a little over an hour of waiting, and downloading, I finally downloaded the Founder’s Beta client (yesterday)! In case there is anyone else wondering, it isn’t just downloading the torrent folder off the site and waiting for 15 seconds and you’re done, you are going to have to have a torrent client and for me, it took like an hour and a half. You then open it up, and then you do all the regular installation steps. If you were in the closed beta, the game from the closed beta I don’t think will work from what I’ve heard. You will need to download the Founder’s Beta client. If not, I wasted an hour and a half on downloading something I didn’t need when I could go admire the Nokia Internet Tablet n810. So anyways, you can’t play the game yet, you will have to wait for October 8th (October 9th for Hong Kong). It’s at 22:00 EST, so 10 PM EST, and 7:00 PM PST. I can’t wait!~ Don’t forget to check the stickies and announcements if you have questions to ask, and I hope to see you all in-game! ;)

Oh! When I was looking around, about the same time I found out that the Wii will have the Speak Channel, I found out about Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii would be coming out soon! It looks really interesting, since it will take advantage of the “Speak Channel,” and it will be coming out with the new urban city area. It looks pretty interesting, since I really enjoy the other Animal Crossing Games.

The one thing that caught my eye is the new urban city area. You can visit Gracie in this area, and you can go to the theaters. I’m not sure of the other things availible in the urban city area just yet, hopefully more information will come out soon.  I am kind of curious if Gracie’s boutique will be replacing the “Abel Sisters” because I don’t want them to go! From the video, the salon will also give you makeovers and other options besides just haircuts now. Apparently the makeover is actually a “Mii Makeover” and you get the face of a Mii, which looks pretty creepy on your AC character.

You can now trick-or-treat for Halloween, and Easter is “Bunny Day” in AC, and you can now hunt for eggs. I’m not sure on all the details yet, but the ones I’ve read already make it seem pretty interesting. Besides the parts mentioned above, most of the rest of the features are like the previous Animal Crossing games, which is good and bad. Of course, since it’s on the Wii, there are more possibilities, like the Speak Channel allowing you to talk to people through Wi-Fi. There isn’t a specific release date yet, but it is coming this holiday part of the year. So don’t forget to ask for it for Christmas! (I might ask for it too ^_^)

Ok…so I got MySims last year. I got both the DS version and the Wii version. The Wii version in my opinion was much better. I liked it very much, but due to my short attention span, I only play it every now and then. So when I went to GameStop with my uncle to get a game he was ordering, I ended up finding a slight shock.

Apparently, they are soon releasing the MySims Kingdom, where you take care of a kingdom, so it’s more of a medieval-esque look. There are some creatures, and you build different types of things. It’s pretty much the same as the regular MySims, but it kingdom and medievalized. There isn’t much information on it, because I’m currently checking out Nintendo.com, and they only have a tiny overview.

It’s kind of odd, it says that the game will be released on Oct. 28 for the DS version,  and Q4 for the Wii version, but I saw them both at GameStop, their boxes at least. I wonder if I missed something and it wasn’t really on sale or something. But it sure did look like it…Kind of weird, but oh well.

I looks pretty much the same as the usual MySims, so I won’t find myself getting that. I somehow have a certain vibe that my friends might, so I’ll get my information from them. Well, don’t forget to check it out! ;)

I’ve made it to the zOMG! Beta test. I accidentally missed the first test I got to be in, so I’m waiting for the next week’s test (Oct. 10th). zOMG! is an MMORPG for GaiaOnline. Here is the website, (there was a main website, but I can’t find it right now DX) http://www.gaiaonline.com/games/zomg/ I’m really excited to be currently in two betas (3 if you count Sociotown, but I don’t really go there). I’m currently researching the game so I am ready to play when I have a chance. It’s about how the things in Gaia used to be still with no life. But then suddenly, things began to come alive, in which they are called “the Animated.” The screenshots look pretty cool, so I’m waiting patiently for that beta to come out too. My friends have also gotten into the beta, and our beta accounts have 500,000 gold and 1000 Gaia Cash in them, if only we could use them on Gaia in our real accounts. But alas, we can’t since it’s a test account and so I can’t. It’s soo much for us poor people, while to others, it may not be such a big deal. Well, wish me luck!

Ah, I had gotten the DS lite 2 years ago, and look what’s new: the DSi. It’s similar in shape to the DS lite, but so much more. I already have the classic DS and the DS lite, so I won’t be expecting to get this. But, it still looks pretty interesting. For more information, look at this link: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10056529-1.html

So it isn’t entirely the same in shape compared to the DS lite. Here is an image from cnet, which got it from Nintendo (sorry I can’t upload images right now, my computer is almost full)

The power button is located near the bottom left corner. Personally, I think the placement is sort of uncomfortable. Although, it will prevent them from turning on by accident. Another new thing is the 3rd light, for Wi-Fi, which will be clarified later. There are also 2 cameras, one is 3.0 megapixel, while the second one is a lower resolution. The screens are slightly larger than before with a slightly slimmer design. There is no more GBA slot instead being replaced by an SD card slot. Instead, you can download the GBA games into your DS. The microphone is still there, just moved a little to the right for the camera.

There is Wi-Fi, so you can shop at the DS shop for games and downloads. There is also an internet browser, although it isn’t specified what the browser supports. There is a new multimedia center, hence the SD card slot. You can play music, and look at images. I think it would have been better if they added a video player to take advantage of the 2 screens though. Unless, they do have one and I’m not informed about it. According to this:

there should be a scroll type of menu, I’m inferring. I’m assuming pictochat is still availible as well.  Let’s see, the menu shows the DS game, settings, camera, music, shopping, pictochat, Wi-Fi, and I’m not sure what the blank box is. (I can’t read Japanese! XD)

Japan will get the new DSi in November 1, Hello Kitty’s birthday! (Lucky Japanese people get everything first! ) Apparently, the DSi will come around the world in 2009.

When I get more information, on the DSi, I’ll post it up here. ;)

Well, since I was in the closed beta (some may have remembered me as Akina Kameko), I was automatically allowed into the Founder’s Beta! :) This is great news, although I am regretting how I wasn’t able to finish off the closed beta, since I was too busy to near the end. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do more of the Founder’s Beta, and I was in the process of getting my friends to sign up, now it’s too late. :( I am patiently waiting for the client download date, and to play! For now, I’m checking the forums to see what’s in store and what to talk about…The Founder’s Beta is beginning on October 8th, for anyone interested, and the client downloading and information will be on October 6th. Well, if anymore information comes up, I’ll update it soon! :) I’m so happy to make it though! :D
