Yay! My first official website mention. My World of Sedia post was kind of a test post, and kind of an advertisement I posted a year before I started this blog. -_- So here is the first: Blist. It is under beta, but is perfect for the holiday seasons. ^_^ By the way, the blog I got this picture from is actually my blog, but I decided that I should just do it on this blog, instead of create a new one. I’m creating a new blog for anime, music, and things that I haven’t started on this blog. So look forward to that! So here’s the first site: Blist.

So it is the holiday season again, and so is the Christmas season. Which brings up the perfect website to review: Blist! Blist.com is a website that allows you to make weblists and share them with the community. So, if you want to make your Christmas list–or any list online, Blist is a website to go to. It is still under beta, but I’m going to still review it since it is the perfect time to. It is similar to Microsoft Excel, but we’ll go into that later. So here’s Blist, share your weblist.
Description:
Blist is a weblist site that allows users to create weblists, and share it with whomever they choose. It gives users a social networking feel with its many social networking feature. It is similar to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, but also somewhat different. In fact, you can upload your excel spreadsheet onto your blist. You can see other member’s blists, but if you want privacy, there aren’t many options on the privacy. When you create a blist, you can: create it from scratch, upload a spreadsheet file, or choose someone else’s spreadsheet template and start from there. When creating a blist, which they call a spreadsheet or table, there are already many default columns and rows to choose from, and many of them have various options to choose from while making the blist in the process. You also have the ability to print the lists, and blist gives users the ability to change a numerous amount of aspects within a list.
Small Review:
It’s late…and I do not have much to say, so please bear with the small review. Also note that it is under beta, so we cannot confirm everything for the final release.
Blist is really something unique of it’s kind to me. There were so many features and things to let you add to the list, so you can fully trust it. The design of the site is well constructed, with a clean Web 2.0 feel in it. The colors are somewhat on the dull side, but fit the theme of the website, so I believe that maybe in the future the ability to be able to change colors would make it feel even more personalized. Another downfall includes the complexity to beginning users. Blist is very flexible though, and there are just so many features and things you can do to your list to make it organized, it can be it’s advantage and disadvantage.
