Happy New Year!

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Good day to all! In a few more hours, the new year will be upon us. Unfortunately, we spent Christmas on a milk truck and I think we will be greeting the New Year on it, too. We’ve been trying to attract Zashiki’s attention, but he seems to be lost in thought. The surrounding fireworks has drowned our voices as well, making it even more difficult to attract him.

*sigh* A brand new year…I just felt a sudden blast of all the things that has happened to me during this closing year. Overall, it has been a pleasant year. Sad occurrences and dull moments are unavoidable, but those times did not make me less of a frog. Those moments have actually made me stronger.

I hope that all of us will cherish all the memorable experiences we had in the past year, whether good or bad. Keep in mind that whenever undesirable events happen, think of it as a challenge that will make us even stronger.

Oh, Zashiki finally looked at our direction! Ribbit!

Have a Blessed New Year to all of you! ^_^

Hairy Frog?

Friday, September 21st, 2007

It just suddenly occurred to me when Zashiki posted about growing a mustache. I don’t have one, but my father does…

krpapa I know, I know, mustache doesn’t look good on me, but it looks fine on my father. I’m confused…how can frogs grow hair, let alone a mustache? As for Keroleen’s pigtails, it’s a decorative clip to make her look more adorable.

There’s a simile “feel as fine as frog’s hair” meaning “extremely fine” (delicate and slender). The allusion to the hairs on a frog clearly points us to the ’slender, narrow’, meaning of the phrase. Just as clearly, frogs don’t have hair, and the ironic reference to it is intended to highlight the effect.

I wonder how father grew a mustache. Hmm…maybe when I’m a parent I’ll have a mustache.

Keroppi’s Thoughts

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Everybody’s arguing now…Kuromi’s even crying. I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m so emotional. I don’t want to put the blame on anybody. I think all of us is at fault here, not just Kuromi.

I’m guilty of doing the very thing I despise. True, I don’t like my biological appearance to be used as an insult against me. I also made fun of her. =_=

I actually pity her now. Maybe her actions are just her way of seeking love and affection. I think we’re all the same after all, we’re looking for something lost or missing in our lives — love, affection, attention, respect, etc.

If I were in her shoes (or hood in her case), I’d probably react the same…

I just want everyone to be friends again, or if being friends is too much to ask, at least let’s respect one another.  No more nasty side comments and insults.

*sigh* Anybody wanna join me for a glass of warm milk?

Question and answer time once again from the very informative blog of Rukia. Can someone’s personality change? Yup, but not a full change, I think. Usually a certain bad aspect changes into something better and it takes a lot of guts to be a better person.

Also, I have encountered stories wherein people say that the personality of their significant other changes when they tie the knot. Hmmm..maybe so, but it could also be that the real personality was revealed.

Very puzzling indeed. *nod nod*

But, of course, change is the only thing permanent in this world. *sigh*

Color Your World

Friday, August 31st, 2007

This is interesting. Hehe. I encountered this in Rukia’s blog. I think I’ll answer it so that my attention will be diverted elsewhere. Life is rough nowadays.

So, how am I suppose to describe color to someone who can’t see, distinguish or for the visually challenged in general´┐Ż For me, I think is through the taste of food. For example, if I want to describe the color red, I would let the person taste something spicy. Green is something cool and minty. Yellow is something sour or citrus in flavor. Pink is something sweet and candied. Blue is something refreshing like water perhaps. Black is something bitter.

The more complex the food tastes, the more color combinations. The intensity of the taste could also describe how bright or dull the color is. Food for your thoughts. Hehe.
