Keroro Gunsou has only been around for a few years but his popularity is overwhelming. He has almost 200 anime episodes (probably even more since I lost count already), movies, toys, comic books, plastic models, snacks,  video games and even an online game! Hahaha. He got an online game even before Hello Kitty. XP

I actually felt bitter about this guy at first, but when you think about it, his popularity will increase the status of all frog characters. Ribbit! He may be a clumsy and crazy frog at times, but that adds more to his appeal.

Just look at how they are piled elegantly and look at that nice, glossy, slimy skin. I wonder who’s their frog dermatologist. Speaking of sliminess. I think I should prepare for the summer season. The heat will really dry frogs up and make us weak. I’d better stock up on frog lotions, water and a lot of mlk. Ribbit!

Remember the incident when Ganta spilled soda on my desktop keyboard? Well, the keyboard is still working pretty fine, but I got curious and searched around for a nice model and was drawn to this:

It is perhaps the most user friendly one handed typing pad on the market, but it has been said that it might take a little time to learn the typing technique. It uses Bluetooth wireless capabilities to connect with your PDA, computer, or Bluetooth compatible phone.

Ribbit! Hahaha! Will sure add more to the froginess of my PC or mobile phone. When the need really arises, I will definitely consider this one.  As of the moment, I’ll still use my old keyboard. It sure has gone through a lot, but performance is still superb! XD

Greetings! Ganta here! *hem hem* It’s the start of a brand new Lunar Year and everyone should be celebrating, but some of us here are feeling sad and lonely. *Ahem* I think all of us should be jumping about since this February is a great month with wonderful events.

First of all, it was Zashiki’s birthday last February 4. Sorry for the late greeting buddy. I’ve been pretty busy lately because I’m planning something this month. *Ahem* Anyway, Belated Happy Birthday! I’m also glad that Marie is with you on your special day.

Next is the celebration of the new Lunar Year. This time, it’s the year of the Rat. Keroppi posted something about not having a year of a frog. I also wondered about that. *Hem* But that’s no big deal, frogs are supposed to be lucky in whatever year we’re in. Do Fortune Frogs ring a bell?

A Fortune Frog is universally known to bring good luck. *Ahem* In Japan, a loved one keeps a frog charm for a safe return home.  In Egypt, a frog brings fertility.  Even Irish folklore uses frog symbology to attract good fortune. 

A special kind of frog from the Orient is believed to bring money and wealth.   It is called a Feng Sui frog. It is the small statue of a frog with a coin in it’s mouth that we usually see in stores. *Cough Cough*

I hope everything will turn out fine this new Lunar Year, especially for Keroppi and Keroleen. The two of them had a conversation yesterday, and Keroleen ran out of the living room crying. I don’t know what they argued about, I just hope they’ll fix it soon, Valentine’s Day is approaching fast after all. *Hem hem*

As for Mimmy, I hope she’s having a great time in China. Must be great to experience the celebrations and fireworks from there. I wonder when she’s going back to SanrioTown…*hem hem*

The legendary frog racer also known as Keroppi!

Proud owner Stefani named her frog after yours truly. He is a fun loving White’s Tree Frog (Dumpy Tree Frog or Smiling Frog). He enjoys the luxurious life sharing a spacious 55 gallon tank with three other frog friends, and of course having run of the entire bedroom at night. He stays up all night climbing stuff, riding in his porche 911, and watching TV.

Some cool frog! He drives a Porche. XD I want to see how he conquers the mountain passes. What modifications did he do to his car? How does he drift? Does he use the gutter? So many questions. Ribbit! I want to see him race! @_@

Kero Kero Keroppi no Bouken Nikki is a Role-Playing game made for the Super Famicom. The translated English title is , “The Adventure Diary of Keroppi KeroKero: Keroleen in the Sleeping Forest”

Players take my role in Kero Kero village when my precious Keroleen was kidnapped and taken to the forest. My character will be accompanied by two froggy pals in order to rescue her.

I don’t know if I’m going to be happy or angry about this other popular frog. I kinda have mixed emotions towards him. But, I find his tactic of going through the hearts of men and women amusing.

True, simplicity is the key. Frogs are supposed to be simple and not too cutesy and colorful. Frogs like me are nature loving creatures and we don’t like fancy, flashy colors and city lights. I guess that’s what made me unpopular compared to the other Sanrio characters. It is hard to represent the real me in their colorful world.

Rival? Frog Style? How am I suppose to rival against a growing 380 species group? Anyway, that Keroro frog guy is included even if he’s out to conquer our world. I think Frog Style is a means of bringing the whole frog community together and help out whoever is in need.
