*sighing heavily, Keroppi dropped the letter at Pink Bear’s mail box*

Keroppi: I hope Pink Bear’s ok…

Keroleen: I think we should have accepted her offer…I mean we could go back to our old lives again…right?

Keroppi: *looks down* No. Ribbit! We can’t. We have to do this. It’s for our own good. If we keep on depending on other people, how will we ever grow up?

Keroleen: I guess you’re right. Have you told the others? Are they going with us?

Keroppi: No one has given me an answer yet…

Deep Voice: HAHAHAHAHAHA!

*Smoke suddenly enveloped the whole area.*

Deep Voice: I’ll accompany you!

Keroppi: Who’s there?! Ribbit! Show yourself! *cough*

Keroleen: Keroppi, I can’t see!!!

Deep Voice: Oh, sorry about that… *Takes out a portable vacuum cleaner to clear out the smoke. A tall figure wearing a cape is slowly revealed.*

Keroleen: *blink blink* Kyorosuke!!!

Keroppi: Bro, that was one weird entrance.

Kyorosuke: Hahaha! I decided to be more dramatic in everything that I do, especially in this get up. *Twirls around to show-off his black cape and shiny mask.*

Keroppi: *rolls eyes* Whatever you say…

*Suddenly a fast figure collided with Kyorosuke.*

Kyorosuke: Ohhh dizzy…I feel like a train ran over me…@_@

Ganta: *sprawled on the ground* @_@ Mimmy, I’m sorry…Please forgive me…

Mimmy: Buzzzz! *glare*

Angie: Finally, I caught up with you! I got the cure for Mimmy!

*Without hesitation, she poured the glistening potion from a small vial onto insect Mimmy. Her small form started to glow and sparkles surrounded her.*

Keroppi: Is it working? O_O

*A bright glow surrounded insect Mimmy as the potion worked it’s magic. The light then faded, revealing the effect of the potion.*

Mimmy: *eyes closed* Did it work?

Keroppi: Uhhhhhh….Ribbit!

Keroleen: *gasp*

Kyorosuke: O_O

Angie: …

Ganta: GIANT INSECT MIMMY!!! *faints*

Dear Pink Bear,

I really appreciate all your help and support, but we have to decline on your offer about the pond at the back of your father’s shop. We are going on a journey as well. It’s time to see the world at a whole new light.

After what has happened, we came to realize that life is short. There are still a lot of things to do and see, more people to meet, more lessons to learn…I hope this journey will make us stronger and better creatures.

Take care of yourself, my friend. We’ll see each other again…I’m sure of it. Our paths will definitely cross once more.

Ganta: OMG! OMG! OMG! *cough cough cough* I just stepped on Mimmy!!!

*click click click click click*

Ganta: That sound…*sigh ahem* thank goodness she’s ok…wait…ummm…*ahem croak* Mimmy, don’t look at me like that…

*The insect Mimmy flew up and hovered menacingly in front of Ganta.*

Mimmy: Step on me, why don’t you?! Take this!

*SNAP*

Ganta: OWWW!!! *croak* I’m sorry! I’m sorry! *runs down the street as Mimmy chased him.*

There’s no holding back now. I must help her! I want to see her smile again.

Stupid fear of mine…

There’s no room for hesitation. We need to find a way to bring Mimmy back and I’ll be with her, no matter where it will take us and how long it will take…

I will always be by her side!

*runs toward the flying insect Mimmy*

*SPLAT!*

My sweet Mimmy…a bug…*cough cough* Why did the love of my life turn into a creature that I fear…? I want her back the way she really is. *croak*

I’m confused…no…I’m afraid…I want to hold her but I couldn’t…*gulp* I can hear her sad buzzing in my ear. Is she crying? I want to console her but fear suddenly overcomes me.

What should I do? *ahem ahem* I want to be strong. For Mimmy’s sake. I want to help her.

Ganta: *cough cough* Ouch! My head! I dreamt that Mimmy turned into an insect…*shudder cough* No! I’d better set aside those weird visions and concentrate in finding her. Oh my beloved Mimmy, where is she? *then something yellow and black caught his eye*

Ganta: *ahem hem* Bug! Just don’t jump at me, ok? It sure looks really interesting. The pattern is shaped like a yellow ribbon. *croak* Everything I look at reminds me of Mimmy!!!

Small voice: “GANTA!”

Ganta: Now I’m hearing her voice…*ahem hem cough*

Small voice: “Ganta, I’m here!”

Ganta: *looks at the bug again* Strange, that bug seems to be talking to me…*He looked at the bug carefully then gasped!* MIMMY!!!

I stood in front of Kyorosuke’s hospital room door. I wanted to enter and wish him to get well soon…but before I could enter, Keroppa told me what happened. Kyorosuke’s face didn’t heal very well…and he has been sulking in his room for almost the whole day. He doesn’t want anyone to see him, not even the medical personnel to check up on him.

The magical barrier around Donut Pond must have burned him really bad. Even the other doctors were baffled…to them, he only had mild burns…I guess magical burns need magical healing.

I want to console my friend. To tell him that everything will be alright. Being alive is much more important…ribbit! Alive…what am I saying…? My Mero…*sob* I couldn’t say the same thing for her when I meet her family and other friends…

I watched Keroleen as she knocked on the door but she didn’t received an answer. Sighing heavily, she sat by the door.

Keroppi: Keroleen, let’s just wait for him. If he needs us, he’ll come out and we’ll be here for him.

We waited there for an hour. Then Keroppa arrived again and with him is a beautiful and very poised woman frog.

Keroppa: *knocks on the door again* Kyorosuke, there’s someone who wants to talk to you…It’s Kerobelo. She’s the top cosmetic surgeon in the country. She’ll perform plastic surgery on you.

Kyorosuke: *screams from inside the room* A woman?! *then silence*

The door opened and out came Kyorosuke, wearing a silver, opera masque which covers half his face.

Kyorosuke: *looks at Kerobelo and clasps her hands with his* You are such a beautiful doctor and your offer is really tempting. I thank you for that, but…NO…From now on, I’ll live with this face and start my life anew.

Keroppi stared at what remains of Donut Pond. It has been a week since My Mero and Pink Bear sealed the demon. The pond has been his family’s home for many generations. It’s painful to leave such a beautiful and happy place, but there’s nothing left…the water’s gone, all the vegetation has died…the frogs will not survive without it. They have to look for a new place to live in.

Keroleen threw a bunch of fresh tulips to the land which is now considered as sacred. Hoping that one of these days the land will be able to revive itself and the frogs can return and live there once again.

Keroppi: All set? Ribbit! Let’s go find the others first.

* * *

Keropa: Are you ready Kyorosuke? I’ll remove the bandages from your face.

Kyorosuke: Yes sir! I hope my face healed well…

*Keropa slowly removed the bandages from Kyorosuke’s face. Unveiling inch by inch green, shiny skin, then he stopped and frowned*

Kyorosuke: Uncle Keropa, what’s wrong?! Why’d you stop?! I want to see! *He jumped from the bed and ran to the mirror. He removed the final layer of bandage…* AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Keropa: I’m sorry son. I don’t know what has gone wrong. You only had minor burns, but I think the magical nature of what caused it has made the wounds really deep…*looks down*

*Kyorosuke stared at the mirror. Half of his face was badly scarred! He punched the misshapen reflection, shattering the mirror and sank to the floor sobbing.*

Ganta paced back and forth in front of Mimmy’s house. He saw Mimmy last at My Mero’s back last week in Donut Pond. He has been going to her house for days, but nobody’s home. Sighing heavily, he turned around and walked away from the house. Then he heard a soft clicking sound. It was faint at first but it became more audible by the second. *click Click CLick CLIck CLICk CLICK*

"GANTA!"

He turns to the direction of the voice and was shocked when something small and prickly landed on his face.

Ganta: ARGH! *cough* AN INSECT! GAAA-ACK! *faints* (Author’s note: Ganta is afraid of insects, among other things.)

*Pink Bear still held tightly onto the seed as the tremendous power flowed from it. Then suddenly a bright light bathed her whole being. A woman’s silhouette was seen and it slowly merged with Pink Bear.*

Keroppikki: Ribbit! *Before he can comment, he heard a voice.*

I AM THE SORCERESS OF THE SEED. I KNOW YOU LOVE YOUR HOME VERY MUCH, BUT THE POND WILL HAVE TO BE USED AS A PRISON FOR THE DEMON.

Keroppikki: I understand…*sniff*

DON’T WORRY. I’LL ALWAYS GUIDE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS.

Pink Bear: BEGONE EVIL DEMON! *the glowing seed was floating from her hands now. From the seed emanated a powerful energy beam and shot towards My Mero.*

*Everybody watched in awe as a powerful stream of light burst towards the center of Donut Pond. Tears flowed down from Pink Bear’s eyes. The sorceress of the seed has told her everything…the origin, the power, the sacrifices…*

My Mero: FOR PEACE! NYAAAAN! *she floated up in the sky and looked below her…to the town that she loved so much and to her friends whom she really cared about.* Thank you everybody!

*The light from the seed enveloped My Mero. Then suddenly black streams of energy sprouted from her back — the demon is trying to escape.*

My Mero?: NO! YOU CAN’T DO THIS!

My Mero: You’ve done enough! Nyan! *she closed her eyes and smiled…reminiscing every happy moment she had in her life.*

*Throughout the minds of everybody watching, a silent scream permeates while the black energy slowly vanishes. Suddenly, the light seems to explode, filling the entire vicinity of Donut Pond with white, blinding everybody for a moment.

The water became very violent as center of the pond spiraled inwards. Then a huge plant emerged from the center and it grew up to the sky. It’s gigantic leaves enveloped the ball of energy, containing the demon and My Mero in it. As fast as it appeared, the plant sank back, taking the whole pond with it!

Pink Bear was kneeling and panting heavily at the edge of what used to be a pond.  She was also crying.*

Keroleen: Where’s My Mero?! Donut Pond is gone! *stares at the barren land*

Pink Bear: My Mero’s gone. She sacrificed herself to contain the demon…*cries*

*Keroppikki, Pikkikoro, Kerokoro collapsed to the ground, unconscious. The angry food stopped attacking, too. Keroleen ran to the body of Pikki and shook her.*

Keroleen: Keroppi! Keroppi! Please wake up!

Keroppi: *blink blink* Huh? Ribbit! Keroleen…I’m over here…I’m back…

*Before Ganta could reach the edge of the water, the barrier fell and so did My Mero, into the raging water below.*

Keroppikki: The barriers down!

*Pink Bear runs to the edge of the water. Winds are still strong, but the lightning started to die down and My Mero floated on her back in the dark water.*

Pink Bear: THIS IS FOR YOU ALL WHO HELPED AN SACRIFICED SO MUCH TO SAVE THIS TOWN!!! *Dips seed in the water then suddenly a loud sound of some sort was heard.*

My Mero?: MWAHAHAHAHA! YOU CAN’T GET RID OF ME THAT EASILY. I CANNOT BE DESTROYED! I AM AS OLD AS TIME ITSELF!

Keroppikki: The seed’s power should’ve have purified the whole area…WHAT’S GOING ON?! Ribbit!

My Mero?: SILLY FROG! THAT BEAR JUST RELEASED A TREMENDOUS POWER THAT SHE CANNOT CONTROL. YES, I WILL BE GONE, ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS HAPPY WORLD OF YOURS!!!

My Mero: Nyaaan…

My Mero?: WHEN ANOTHER WORLD IS BORN, I WILL BE REBORN AS WELL! IF LIFE EXISTS, I EXIST AS WELL. I’VE DESTROYED SO MANY WORLDS IN MY LIFETIME YET THE URGE OF LIFE TO KEEP ON GOING IS STRONG…AND SO AM I!

Kyorosuke: We need…magic…a special kind of magic that can contain that energy within an area…*moans* We can’t let that power spread…

Keroleen: Angie’s a magic user…but, but…that evil demon just zapped her…*cries*

My Mero?: THAT PINT-SIZED MAGICIAN WOULD HAVE BEEN A THREAT IF SHE HAD HER WITS ABOUT HER. I MADE SURE SHE WASN’T GOING TO BE OF ANY HELP WHEN I FRIED HER WITH LIGHTNING. NOW SHUSH. I THINK IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO SIT BACK AND WATCH. THIS IS THE EXCITING PART.

*Keroleen held tightly to Keroppikki and they watched helplessly as the energy collected at the center of Donut Pond. Everything will be gone in an instant…*

Ganta: I’m so dizzy…*ahem ahem* Is it just me or I see something flying at the other side of the pond…?
