Chris recorded this at the Shimoda Mall about 30 minutes from here, I’m so entranced by the video XD I don’t know why lol.

These are my kitties Ewok and Rascal. Ewok is the brown one he’s going on 11 this summer and Rascal is the gray one, he’s going on 7 this summer, but Rascal acts more like a kitten then anything. If he wants something he stands next to you and head butts your arm or side until you do it. Ewok on the other hand, if you’re sleeping and he wants something will pat you in the face with his paw till you get out of bed and give him whatever it is (usually food)

This is one of their daily activities, there other is to bug us until its food time

Ewok looks all crazy eyed but he really just woke up and is going give me food or leave me alone

Rascal in one of his more unusual perches

Rascal loves baskets

Rascal, Cap’n Bun Bun and Ewok. They aren’t happy being in the cage together but they did peacefully co-exist while we had Cap’n. We had to find him a home before we came here cause you can’t bring rabbits into Japan

Ewok and Rascal do get along pretty well, Ewok is the boss of the two

Let’s see, total I’ve gone snowboarding 5 times, the first was in 1999, the second 2005/6? I think, but I actually didn’t manage to do anything that day cause my boots were way to tight and had to take them off after 20 minutes lol. Then I didn’t go again till this winter. The first trip I fell down, a lot, it’s a lot of work picking yourself off the ground over and over, I was so exhausted from going down the hill 3 times I was done lol The next trip was much easier and I fell down a lot less XD By the 3rd time I managed to go down the hill without falling down at all a couple times. Yay! I’m still afraid to pick up a lot of speed going down a hill, it might have been because when I went the slopes were pretty slick instead of very powdery, so it was way to easy to pick up speed. I guess I just need to do it more to get used to it.

Appi http://www.appi.co.jp/foreign_country/english/index.html is a
really nice resort, they have lots of hills and a really nice lodge. I liked the arcade:D they had several games I had never seen before: a Lupin the Third typing game, a train simulator and a airplane landing simulator. I’ve never seen an arcade version of any of those types of games, very interesting idea.

Here’s 2 pics of my snowboard, unfortuanalty the bindings cover up the cool art ; ;

:O I was putzing around with the blog stuff and clicked on the Blog of the Week link and lo and behold, my blog got made Blog of the Week. I’m really happy people enjoyed reading this ^^ I made it mostly so my friends and family had a convenient place to read about what I’m up to (and so I didn’t have to send a bunch of e-mails XD), so I never really expected anyone else to be interested in it lol. Now I wish I took more time to edit everything better XD So thank you everyone for the support ^^

Well, let’s see, we’ve been here 1 year and almost 2 months, so I guess we’re pretty comfortable now. At the beginning though it was a bit scary traveling around since we didn’t know so much Japanese or customs. Like for instance, a month ago I found out that the Japanese don’t eat curry with hashi (chopsticks), they eat it with a spoon. While it’s possible to eat it with hashi it’s not easy, so now I know why I always got weird looks at restaurants when I ate my curry with hashi XD I’m a huge fan of Japanese curry, I like it more than Indian curry, but Indian curry has more variety. There is an Indian restaurant pretty close to here called Ankur, and they make excellent curry and oishi (delicious) nan bread. I like their vegetable curry the best, but very much enjoy all the other kinds they do have. But wow, their spicy chicken curry is waaay spicy. I love me some spicy food, but I can’t barely handle it XD

There is more to come but it’s getting late so I’ll post more later.
