Hello Katie

Games, Photography, Life, Oh my!

And the livin’ is eaaaaaasy!

While of course it was very sad to have to be away from HKO over the summer (although it did give me time in August to work on The Silliest Project Imaginable which I’ll be debuting…whenever I can figure out how to make it work), I got to do some stuff over the summer that was okay in comparison I guess: travel to Europe!

I sing in a choir that went and competed in this big competition in the Czech Republic; we won all sorts of awards and got to see Vienna and Prague. Vienna and Prague pretty, pretty cities, so I figured instead of writing about it, I’d just post pictures!

This road is part of the Shonbrunn Palace gardens in Vienna.

And this is the backyard. The backyard! My backyard has, like…a birdbath in it.

St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna is this huuuuge church where Mozart got married. We got to sing a concert there! Right in the spot at the end of the aisle in this picture, in fact. It was so cool, especially because cathedrals are built for organ music, and so every time we sang certain pitches, they’d echo around and we’d hear ourselves singing on about a 2 second delay. (Also, did I mention that it was huge? HUGE!)

This is the town square of a little city we stayed at in the Czech Republic called Pardubice. So pretty!

I think Kitty would like this house. Don’t you love the windows?

Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and because it was never bombed in WWII, it still has all it’s old castles, right in the city. Amazing.

I couldn’t get over the stained glass windows in the big cathedral in Prague.

Can you imagine this being your view everyday? Prague is like a fairytale.
