The quests became more challenging and because of that the game was much more addictive. I am sad that I didn’t get as far as I would have liked. Just yesterday I finally upgraded my farm to lvl 4. But, I look forward to the next installment of the game! Hopefully the wait won’t be too long.

Today is my last day to play, which is also a bit disappointing. My husband and I are moving out of our current apartment and into our first home! That means no internet for a little while…But that will be a whole new adventure of its ow!

So, I’ll see you all soon <3

I walked all the way to Paris and got a new hairstyle, but I’m not really in love with it. I wish that there was a way to sample the hairstyles on yourself before you buy them. I had blue pigtails prior to this look and I liked it much better but since hair is a 1 time use only I don’t feel like wasting more cash to buy my pigtails back, lol.

Now on to the harvest!

It took much longer than I had anticipated especially because Purin’s coffee mini-game broke on me the first time I attempted to play it. I finally figured out the fix and now I’m back to the Quests in London. I’m avoiding the Hamburger quest right now because I have to upgrade my farm and I’m only half way there with my funds. I like the idea of upgardaing the look of my farm, but do I wish it wasn’t so expensive. It’s frustrating when I spend so much time grinding for cash and then I have to waste it to buy forging guides or extra materials for other quests. Ah well, at least I finished the horrible clothings quests in Florapolis. I thought I was never going to survive through that!

I finally gave up and decided to stop grinding for hours and hours to collect all the materials I needed. Instead I headed to London where I could just buy the materials. Of course now I am struggling to get anything done because I spent all my money on materials to make hats, shirts, and pants….and I still don’t have all the pants done. I need 7 more. I was working in my farm for the last hours growing crops to sell to buy more materials. I was really enjoying myself. I needed a break so I began the quests in London, however, now I’m stuck because I don’t have enough money to buy the seeds, water, and fertilizer I need.

So, now it’s back to grinding because I need money to continue with the game and I can’t get money unless I spend more hours gathering materials. *sob* will it ever end!?

I really wish that the quests were spaced out a bit differently. Instead of one NPC asking you 4 or 5 times in a row to either make food or clothing. They should send you out to gather ingredients or something else so you don’t get stuck in a rut of doing the same thing over and over…and over again.

Hello Kitty Online is back up in beta thanks to Aeria Games! I started playing it this past weekend. I was glad to see that the quest are slightly different from the previous founders beta. I have to say that I did have a difficult time with the surfing mini-game. I actually had to have my husband come over and help me with the direction keys. I just couldn’t type that fast! My husband wasn’t having such an easy time either….and we are people who work and play on computers all the time. I did much better when it came to catching fish though XD

The game started off extremely enjoyable but unfortunately I’m a bit bored with all the gathering that has to be done to complete some of the forging and clothing quests. I’m still in Florapolis (around level 12 right now) and I am just really tired of creating simple thread, simple cloth, and novice thread. I can’t proceed with the game until I do and at the moment all the enjoyment has just been sucked out of the game. I don’t recall the previous beta to be so focused on creating so many of these kind of items.

I do like the new faming system this time around and the pets seem much easier to take care of as well.

Sadly I’m going to lose my internet soon due to the move out of the apartment, so I won’t be playing much There always seems to be something going on to prevent me from playing! I missed almost all of the events during founders beta for various reasons that caused me to be away from my computer and the internet. Maybe when the move is over and I come back I’ll be more pumped to gather more shells, webs, and pinbee frills! LOL

This certainly has been a crazy year. I realize I haven’t posted anything since late February, so I suppose it’s about time for an update.

My huband and I are buying our first home. We are moving out of NYC and into a more suburban area on Long Island. We started the house hunt back in May and it didn’t take long to find the perfect home…close to family and the beach!

We haven’t moved in yet. The mortgage process has been a bit slow. We knew we would be approved but it was just a matter of getting all the paper work together. Now, we are just waiting for the closing date.

Our apartment is all packed and I am so anxious to finally get this move underway. I enjoyed 7 years in the city but it’s time to see some trees and breath some fresh air…and we’ll finally have a car!

I’m most excited to finally have some property and a yard to plant a garden. Also, I can fianlly get a puppy <3

Sadly, I’ve left Tokyo behind and returned home from my honeymoon. My hubby and I are already saving for another trip back to Japan.

There were a few things I never got a chance to post about. So, I guess i’ll give a little summary in this entry ~

Tokyo Tower

We took the trip over to Tokyo Tower the day before new Year’s Eve. On the way over we passed through the Zojoji Temple.

They were setting up for the gathering the next night. When we reached the tower the admission lines were so long that we decided not to go to the observation deck or the Aquarium. I’m still a little confused as to where you would put an aquarium in a communications tower…Instead we wandered through the souvenir shops and the arcade.

On the way back to the station my husband required that we stop in at the Pokemon Center. Although I don’t really have any interest in Pokemon I was pretty disappointed at how small the store was. I didn’t even see an area where kids could battle together. I think the Pokemon Center in NYC had more stuff before it turned into the Nintendo Store.

Tokyo Disneyland

We spent New year’s Day at Tokyo Disney and I must say that it was a fantastic trip. It was only a 20min ride from Tokyo Station and we spent the whole day running around the park eating food and waiting online for rides, ha ha. In the morning there was a special New year’s Greeting Parade with Mickey and Minnie wearing traditional kimonos

Although it was freezing we stayed for the Electric Lights Parade and the fireworks at night.

I guess that those were really two of the most notable things that we did during our last days in Tokyo…Oh yeah, I can’t forget about the crepes

We bought these in Harajuku and they were absolutely delicious. I wish i had one right now…mmmmmm

Shopping at Maruione was a lot of fun yesterday…strange that I didn’t take any pictures of the shop. Well, Marui (aka 0101) is a department store in Shinjuku. There are others around but I like the ones in Shinjuku the best because that’s where the rest of the Gothic Lolita shops are. Shinjuku has 3 Marui stores each is separated by only a few blocks…and Japan blocks are a lot shorter than NYC blocks! There’s Marui Young, Marui Men, and Marui City. I was able to find more great Vivienne Westwood goods at Marui City in the accessories section that I couldn’t find at the flagship store in Shibuya.

Not too far from Marui Young you can find a Hello Kitty Gift Gate. Outside the door is a big, HK statue and it’s right next to a Baskin Robbins.
In my opinion this Gift Gate wasn’t as nice as the one in Ginza. It was all pretty much the same stuff but I think because the shop at Ginza Nisha has 2 floors (w/ the Questina shop) it just makes i much more worth while to go there.

I’m definitely starting to feel a lot less jet lagged but I can’t seem to sleep past 7am, which is pretty frustration. My back as been hurting as well. I think the bed isn’t as comfortable as I first though…I feel like an old woman. *sigh*

Anyway…I couldn’t go to Shibuya and not visit the Vivienne Westwood boutique. Although, I don’t love her clothes as much as Betsey Johnson’s I still needed to see her shop in person because there isn’t one in NYC anymore.

You would never guess how expensive her products are by looking at the storefront and that neon sign but I almost fell over when I realized none of the bags were less than $1,000!

I was mainly there looking for a present for my best friend. She is absolutely in love with Westwood stuff and I can’t leave Japan without buying her something. I left the boutique empty handed but i realized that there are a few other stores around the city. Her Red Label shop is in the Parco in Shibuya as well and she has another shop in Shinjuku at Maruione that I still have to check out.

Yesterday my husband and I took a trip over to Harajuku. Takeshita-dori seemed much more crowded than I last remembered…so we skipped all the shops on the street and headed straight for Laforet.

If I was still interested in Gothic Loli fashion I would have been in heaven. But, that didn’t stop me from enjoying all the clothes and accessories.

One the way out we spotted Kiddy Land down the street. Kiddy Land is a multi-floored store dedicated to all sorts of toys. My husband was excited to check it out. The first floor had a few Hello Kitty items as well as electronics. There was a floor for SanX and Ghibli merchandise and another floor for anime related goods.

Once we left Kiddy Land we decided to spend some time wading through the crowds on Takeshita-dori. The street is full of punk, gothic lolita, music, and accessory shops. You can definitely find a lot of great things down there. However, it was such a cold and windy day we couldn’t spend as much time as we would have liked looking around…so we’ll have to head back there next week.
