Christmas Event in HKO

I’m waiting for the Christmas event with Santa and Mr. Jinch. The event is supposed to begin today with the new NPC in Sanrio Harbor but so far nothing new is going on. Hopefully it will begin soon, but I don’t think I’ll ave much free time this weekend to participate in the quests…

Good Luck to everyone who joins in the holiday quests!

It’s a long way to Florapolis…

The walk from Paris to Florapolis is excruciatingly painful! I finally finished up all the London quests and just got my first quest in Paris. Of course I needed a few items from the Florapolis area and I didn’t realize that I could only use my train ticket once ever 48 hours. Soooo…it was a long walk to get the items I needed. Unfortunately I have to go back and collect more. I need to make more cookies and I don’t have enough sage >_<

To save my sanity I’ll just wait until tomorrow to travel by train. I also plan to participate in the HKO Christmas events starting tomorrow. I’ll need to get back to Sanrio Harbour for the quest information and that certainly isn’t a trip I want to walk, lol!

Belated Thanksgiving post

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was able to travel back home (with my husband and new puppy) to visit with my mother and step-father for the occasion. I had a fantastic time although the weather wasn’t the greatest. I did enjoy a bit of relaxation. Of course that meant time away from the computer as well as HKO, lol.

I haven’t played in almost 2 weeks and I’m feeling very far behind at them moment. I’ve just reached London and am close to a new Lvl 4 farm. I am happy to see that the price of seeds has dramatically decreased since Closed Beta. It now seems quite possible to upgrade to a new farm without having to spend days grinding to make enough money.  I was also very pleased to see that Sakura’s Tailoring Questing in Florapolis weren’t as involved and draining as they had been in the past.

I’m anxious to see what new quests lay ahead. I only made it to Paris in the Founder’s Beta and at that time there weren’t any quests there.

I’ve got some work to do!

Getting through the quests in Sanrio Harbour was a breeze compared to what I am stuck doing right now in Florapolis.  At the moment I am trying to build up my levels and give myself the best equipment that I can buy because I have to complete some quests that seem to be too difficult for my current level. It would have been nice if they added a quest somewhere in between because right now I can only take one one creature at a time…then I have to sit back and let my HP go back up before I can fight another creature. It is tedious work but I’m almost done and I’m hoping that the following quests will bring me back on track.

Open Beta Sanrio Harbour Quest Log

I am determined to purchase the “Strawberry Hair” style from the Item Mall and the only way to do that is to have enough Loyalty Points, so now to remember to post much more often in my blog (among other sanriotown.com things that will also gain me more points). and the adventure begins again…

I just found out today that HKO Open Beta was available for download in North America. I am very excited to be able to play once again.  I don’t even mind starting back at the beginning. I’m just hoping that this time around I won’t miss all the fun events!

The end is near!

North American closed beta is scheduled to end this coming Saturday! Even through out my frustration I thoroughly enjoyed this round of beta testing. The quests became more challenging and because of that the game was much more addictive. I am sad that I didn’t get as far as I would have liked. Just yesterday I finally upgraded my farm to lvl 4. But, I look forward to the next installment of the game! Hopefully the wait won’t be too long.

Today is my last day to play, which is also a bit disappointing. My husband and I are moving out of our current apartment and into our first home! That means no internet for a little while…But that will be a whole new adventure of its ow!

So, I’ll see you all soon <3

Bought the farm

Well, after several hours of work mining the Crystal Veins, hundreds of Croogers, and a lot of repetition I finally have my lvl 4 farm!

…all the work just to harvest lettuce, jeeze.

I walked all the way to Paris and got a new hairstyle, but I’m not really in love with it. I wish that there was a way to sample the hairstyles on yourself before you buy them. I had blue pigtails prior to this look and I liked it much better but since hair is a 1 time use only I don’t feel like wasting more cash to buy my pigtails back, lol.

Now on to the harvest!

On with the quests

I finally finished all the quests in Florapolis. It took much longer than I had anticipated especially because Purin’s coffee mini-game broke on me the first time I attempted to play it. I finally figured out the fix and now I’m back to the Quests in London. I’m avoiding the Hamburger quest right now because I have to upgrade my farm and I’m only half way there with my funds. I like the idea of upgardaing the look of my farm,  but do I wish it wasn’t so expensive. It’s frustrating when I spend so much time grinding for cash and then I have to waste it to buy forging guides or extra materials for other quests.  Ah well, at least I finished the horrible clothings quests in Florapolis. I thought I was never going to survive through that!

Why is this game so frustrating?

I finally gave up and decided to stop grinding for hours and hours to collect all the materials I needed. Instead I headed to London where I could just buy the materials. Of course now I am struggling to get anything done because I spent all my money on materials to make hats, shirts, and pants….and I still don’t have all the pants done. I need 7 more. I was working in my farm for the last hours growing crops to sell to buy more materials. I was really enjoying myself. I needed a break so I began the quests in London, however, now I’m stuck because I don’t have enough money to buy the seeds, water, and fertilizer I need.

So, now it’s back to grinding because I need money to continue with the game and I can’t get money unless I spend more hours gathering materials. *sob* will it ever end!?

I really wish that the quests were spaced out a bit differently. Instead of one NPC asking you 4 or 5 times in a row to either make food or clothing. They should send you out to gather ingredients or something else so you don’t get stuck in a rut of doing the same thing over and over…and over again.
