In the game, the player must hit the notes as they scroll down the screen in order to maintain their performance and score points.

The game features Slash of Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine/Audio slave. In the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC versions, Bret Michaels of Poison is included.
