Here’s a rumored picture of Bumblebee in the next Transformers the movie. Makers of the movie said changing Bumblebee was necessary because of the story:

Optimus prime decided to upgrade Bumblebee to make him stronger and prevent the Decepticons from destroying him. Optimus prime doesn’t want to lose another comrade.
