August 22nd, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

Play as Son Goku in his search for the Dragon Balls in the upcoming game for the Nintendo DS, Dragon Ball: Origins. The action-adventure game primarily uses the stylus in controlling character movement.

The game is published by Atari and Namco Bandai Games, and is scheduled for release on Nov 11, 2008

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels

August 20th, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

Star Wars: The Clone Wars game for the Wii is a must have for fans of the movie. The story follows with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) as they fight against the evil Sith master and the separatist forces.

The game gives you a chance to hold a Wii remote as a light saber (just be careful because you might get carried away with the action and hit the TV), while the Nunchuk is used to control character movements and Force powers.

May the force be with you. :)

The game’s release date is on Nov 2008.

Tekken the Movie: Luke Goss

August 5th, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

I was searching the net about Tekken and saw this blog post about the movie; Luke Goss said that fans of the game will be shocked on how accurate the movie will be with the characters and their fighting style.

“Their fight styles were studied and the way they looked, the producers wanted people that looked similar to the actual characters in the game. They understood that genre fans and game fans would want that. I think they did a good job.”

I hope what Goss is saying is true because I really like Tekken, and I haven’t seen a good game turned movie since Tomb Raider.

Mk vs DC: Joker

July 30th, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

Joker is the latest character added for the Crossover fighting game, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Mk vs DC’s joker would look like this……

I hope the game has a feature that can customize the character’s appearance, like in Tekken and Soul Calibur.

Why so serious….  :)

Gundam Battle Universe

July 23rd, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

Gundam Battle Universe is the latest Gundam game by Namco Bandai for the Playstation Portable. The game looks like “Gundam Seed: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. Portable” which I really liked. The game has more than 200 mobile suits to choose from and a number of missions to complete.

No news yet if there would be an English version, so if you want to play it now, it’s either you learn Japanese or use the trial and error way in playing this game.

Here’s a trailer of the game

SF4: Focus

July 17th, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

Street Fighter 4 is looking great, check out the newest trailer. The Focus system isn’t like the previous “Parry system” of Street Fighter 3.

It looks like the Focus system can be used to block a single attack then it’s up to the player if he will follow-up an attack or evade the opponent.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Character Update

July 8th, 2008 by jj1212:hellokitty.com

The newest additions for Capcom’s side are Alex of Street Fighter III, Morrigan Aensland of Darkstalkers and Soki from Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

For Tatsunoko’s side we have Yatterman, Hurricane Polymar and Golden Warrior Gold Lightan. I’m not familiar with the new Tatsunoko characters, considering they are very old animes.

On the lower left side of the picture, it shows that the game will only use 4 buttons, unlike Marvel vs. Capcom’s 6 buttons (weak punch, strong punch, weak kick, strong kick, assist 1, and assist 2).
