We will follow the next day counting and will be having some activities in memory of my beloved mother. Wish that it wouldn’t rain so we won’t have problems going to the cemetery. We’re still not certain as to how many relatives will come over but we already have a list of food to prepare, hopefully everything will be enough for the guests.
Next week will be My Mama’s 40th day at heaven, hence we are planning to visit the cemetery, attend a mass for her commemoration and a simple dinner with friends and relatives. However we are unsure if it would be on Aug 19 or 20. Some of our relatives say that the counting should start on the day of death, though others say it should be the next day.
If ever someone knows, please post a message. Thanks in advance.
Thank you very much for all the love
that you showed for Mama.
Being surrounded by such love
has more than warmed our hearts.
Although only time
will completely heal our hurt
for our big loss,
we are truly grateful
for the empathy and sympathy
that you have given us.
It has been a comfort
to be with family and friends
in these lonely trying times.
Thank you
for the prayers,
the services,
the mass cards,
the flowers,
the warm messages,
the comforting words,
the love offers
and the sharing
of your precious time
during Mama’s wake and burial.
With the reassuring thought
that Mama is in heaven
loving God
together with all the angels,
I pray that we, too,
whom she has journeyed without,
shall be able to smile
as we think of her
and be at peace
with the happy memories
we have of her.
61 years of borrowed time from God.
Thank you for letting us know
that it was 61 years
of a life well lived and loved.
Again, thank you.
God Bless Us.
Maria Corazon “Cory” Aquino died August 1, 2009 due to complications of her colon cancer. I think her symptoms were almost the same with my Mom, so somehow I understand how the Aquino family feels right now.
It’s really hard to see your loved one in pain, but after doing everything you can, by time you would somehow accept that it would be much better for her to release all the pain and be with God instead.
The whole country mourns for the loss of a great person. She has inspired a lot of Filipinos and made great things, she will forever be remembered.
