Field Trip

October 3rd, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

This is the first time for us not having problems in waking up Kyle so early in the morning. It’s their field trip today so all of them are so excited. I wanted to join but unfortunately I can’t, I already have a lot of absences at work. I’ll post pictures of their field trip next time.

Waiting for the bus.  :)

Report Card

September 30th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

Amidst all of our problems, Kyle gave us something to be happy about. Last night he gave us his report card and told us that he was number 1 in class. We were so happy and proud that I promised him that he’ll get a reward when we visit the mall. He was so excited and quickly planned what toy to get. I just hope that he’ll continue having good grades until the end of the school year.

He also said that it will be their feast day on Thursday and we would need to bring food that is good for 20 people. Kyle wants to bring donuts because it’s one of his favorites.

Family Get-Together

September 24th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

We had a little family get-together last Saturday because the sisters were going back home. There were a lot of food but as usual I wasn’t able to take pictures cause I was too busy eating or assisting the guests.

It was so fun; some were eating and singing videoke inside while others were outside drinking. My Mama was so happy all night but around 2am the sisters had to say goodbye and left a message: “Always be strong and don’t forget to pray, for there is nothing impossible with God”.

Please pray for the recovery of my Mama. Thank you very much.

Got Home

September 19th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

Mama just got home this week, which made her and us very happy. The kids prepared a banner that they hanged at the wall, at the same time were shouting “Welcome Home Lola Chu” as soon as she entered the house. She can now eat anything and needs to consume egg whites every meal to increase her protein level.

One thing I’m concerned is her stamina, she gets tired easily, maybe because her body is still adjusting from the operation. She’s scheduled for a check up this Monday at the hospital. We still need to do a lot of things before chemotherapy, so please pray for her fast recovery.

Thank you very much.

Travel

September 16th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

I saw this blog post in “Travel the World” about recent trips and made me want to have a trip with my family also. I wasn’t able to join them when they went to Singapore and Malaysia last time, that’s why we’re planning to have a trip to HK Disneyland this December.

My Mama is scheduled to come home this week from the hospital, so please pray for her fast recovery so that she can continue with her chemotherapy and also be strong enough to have a trip to HK Disneyland.

Please continue including my Mama in your prayers. Thank you very much!!!

Sister’s

September 11th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

We had a big surprise this week when my aunts (my Mama’s sisters) from the U.S. suddenly visited the hospital. They didn’t tell anyone that they were arriving, except for my other aunt who was asked to fetch them.

As soon as they entered the room, they embraced my Mama and encouraged her to get well soon and always be strong. This made her more determined as ever and immediately tried to stand up and walk.

Please continue praying for my Mama and thanks everyone for the support!!!!!

Getting Better

September 9th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

My Mama’s getting better everyday but still not enough for the doctor to discharge her out of the hospital. She’s already able to eat and drink so the nutriflex inserted in her IV as nutrition was removed. She’s also trying to walk but still needs help especially when going to the bathroom.

Furthermore I want to thank my friends who dropped by the hospital to donate some blood, now we’re only 1 blood bag short.  Thank you also for including my Mama in your prayers. Thank you for the support, much appreciated.

Thank you very much

September 4th, 2008 by jaredkyle:hellokitty.com

Thank you for the prayers!!! I didn’t have time to explain what happened to my Mama (Mom) in my previous post, because I was in a hurry to go back to the hospital.

Last Friday my Mama was confined at the hospital because she was unable to excrete her body waste. We were expecting that she’ll just have an operation to remove the obstruction in her intestines, but we were all shocked when the doctors said she has cancer (stage 4).

She was confined before and the doctors did a lot of tests, but were still unable to know the reason why she fainted and assumed it’s because of fatigue. We were all helpless because we weren’t able to do anything, the symptoms only showed when it was already severe; her stomach was expanding rapidly which caused her discomfort.

The doctors said that they will try to do everything to help her, but warned us that there could be a possibility of an open/close surgery, if they see that they would do more harm if they proceed with the operation.

However the operation was still considered a success, because the doctors were able to:

* extract a sample for Biopsy;
* proceed with decompression; but

* was forced to do a colostomy procedure.

Moreover, no excessive bleeding occurred as earlier feared. These will help her body regain its strength to prepare her for the next step which is to treat the Cancer itself.

I am so thankful to God because he answered our prayers; to our friends and relatives who were always there to support us. Please continue including my Mama in your prayers.

Thank you again.
One miracle at a time.
