i finished the art for prince Nemo, i just need to scan it. i dont know if anyone is acutaly reading this but either way i should have the art by the end of the week, peace

well I’m in the mood to post the rules for the game that the characters I’ve introduced come from… its something I’ve been kicking around in my head for a wile and it has 3 levels, I’ll put the first level here and if any one wants the I’ll add the 2nd and 3rd

One Player Adventures

Rules

The player starts by picking one weapon and one skill. Each player starts with 4 health and 4 mana.

Once the player had given their character a weapon and a skill they are free to give the character a name and make up a history for them. The player then follows the story line and battles a monster; if they defeat the monster they gain a victory reward.

Battle Rules

Each monster has a number of health and 2-4 attacks, each attack has a number or numbers assigned to it. The player rolls a 6 sided die to determine which of the attacks the monster uses. Normally the stronger attacks are less likely to happen.

The player decides on odd or even then rolls the die, if they get what they picked they get to act first, in some story cases they may not get to roll. When fighting most weapon attacks are free but magic has a designated mana cost. When a spell is used its mana is marked off from the user. When a character is harmed by the monsters attack a number of health is removed and when the player deals damage they cross that number of health off the monster.

Effects

When a weapon or skill says evade then the next attack against them doesn’t deal any damage. When an attack says poison then the player must flip a coin if heads then cross one health off the attacks target, then flip a coin again before the targets next action, if heads remove another health, if tails then the target is no longer poisoned. Each time the flip is heads then the effect last another turn until the flip is tails.

Should an attack say sleep then the target of the attack cannot act on its next turn. If a weapon says +(number) mana next to it, then the weapon adds that number of mana to the character.

Level 1 Weapons

Wooden sword 2 damage

Dagger 1 damage (evade)

Sling shot 2 damage (evade) 1 mana

Wooden staff 1 damage (+1 mana)

Wooden broom 1 damage (sleep)

Lute 0 damage (sleep +2 mana)

Level 1 Skills

Wizardry1 +2 mana

Fire ball 2 damage (evade) 1 mana

Thunder 3 damage 2 mana

Heal1 +1 health 1 mana

Pet dog flip coin (heads) 2 damage (tails) +1 health 2 mana

Pet cat flip coin (heads) evade (tails) nothing 0 mana

those are the rules in any case its ment to be an adventure game you can play by yourself you just need a normal die and some imagination.  also heres a new picture of Mac drawn by a friend

hello any one who reads this (and apparently some people do!) i got some art for Mac and Isabelle. looking now Isabelle doesn’t look mouse’ish enough but this is the art for now. i rather like how Mac turned out but you can be the judge… it might be a wile before i can post art for prince Nemo and Highway Boy and I’m still not sure how i want Nemo to look.

this is a game sprite i made from Mog from FF6  the hair is off and i plan on doing a normal drawing maybe tomorrow i also plan on posting the rules to the game i based this little adventure off of (something i wrote a little wile ago and rather liked) when i finally publish Jake’s Bazaar the game and Mac’s adventures will be part of it.

hello folks, I’m making this blog for a personal project called Jake’s Bazaar. Jake’s Bazaar is a zine created by myself and some friends but mostly myself. though Jake’s Bazaar covers a lot of subjects it also follows the story of a young warrior named Mac and his friends Isabelle and Nemo on their quest to defeat the evil machine king. heres a bit of a character bio thing

Mac: a young moogle who became the focus of Jake’s Bazaar when he first defeated the raccoon ghost and retrieved the mystic sword from the woods. Mac goes out of his way to protect anyone who needs his help, he loves trading cards and animals and doesn’t trust robots.

Isabelle: a young mouse girl. the former maid of the rose king. Isabelle left her dreams of attending the magic academy to help earn money for her family. despite not getting to the academy Isabelle has some magic skill but isn’t good at combat. Isabelle likes books and small animals, she dislikes heavy lifting and highway boy.

Nemo: the young raccoon prince, Nemo joined Mac after he was rescued. Nemo has no tail and wants to prove he is strong so he can become king of the raccoons some day. Nemo has very little combat or magic skills but tries his best to help his friends. Nemo likes marshmallow candy and mega man action figures, he dislikes dirt and dried fish.

highway boy: a journalist for Jake’s Bazaar who follows Mac and company around on their adventures and reports back to headquarters with Mac’s feats. highway boy is a ghost who inhabits an old scarecrow and this makes Isabelle uncomfortable. highway boy likes card games and collecting strange dice, he hates fire and being called a scarecrow.

those are the main heroic characters of this little adventure
