i just had my wisdom tooth surgery on May 2nd, 2.30pm at Rochor Dental Clinic.
removed both my upper left and lower left wisdom tooth.
my upper left is fine, growing straight and normally. my lower left is impacted, and is pushing onto my teeth infront of it, causing trauma and sensitivity to them. it hurts when the dentist tapped on some of the teeth in front :(
therefore it is important that i remove the lower left one. if not all my teeth in front are gonna spoil as a result. and since i’m removing the lower left, the dentist advised me to remove the upper one too, if not since it has no teeth supporting it below, it will continue to grow and press on my lower gum, then it will cause gum troubles and cause me pain.
my right side is having the exact same situation but the wisdom tooth is not touching my teeth yet so its okay not to remove it now.
anyway luckily i did not agree to removing all 4 of them at one go cause i only removed 2 and it hurts like shit!!!! i dont think i would be able to bear the pain if i removed all 4 of them.

the black parts are decay. mine not decayed yet but its just pushing frontwards.
i have a bloody pic to show you guys. literally bloody! so please do not see it unless u have already taken your meal and will not feel nauseous.

this is straight from the dentist. i washed my teeth after that to show my parents but i forgot to take pictures of it. and there are parts of my gum on it too =/ sorry for the disgusting pic. hee.
anyway i was given 3 anaesthetic jabs on top, and 3 below. the lower teeth was stubborn and refused to come out. the dentist kept drilling and tugging, drilling and tugging. finally it came out. but was in pieces. lol. too much drilling i think. its usually supposed to be just 2 parts if the teeth is obedient. when it came out, the dentist immediately knew why.
my tooth had 2 roots that were curved and the roots kept hooking onto my gum and refused to come out. from my xray it only showed 1 root.
the upper one came out quite easily but i still needed 3 jabs. :( initially it was just 2 jabs on top. but when he tugged at my teeth i still felt discomfort and thus he asked if i wanted another one and so i said yes.
was given gauze to bite firmly on to stop the bleeding. i had to change the gauze every 10mins for half an hour. and when biting on the gauze i look like some retard. cause my cheek was swollen, and the gauze made me unable to close my lips properly.
went to Sim Lim Square with the bf after that. thank god i had him waiting for me outside during the whole surgery. was thinking of getting a Nintendo DS Lite for some time already. actually wanted to get a 2nd hand one but in the end bf said he would share the cost with me (:
after looking around, we decided to purchase it on that very day. and the guy was checking our ds and placing the screen protector and everything. we didnt have enough cash and so had to withdraw. didnt trust the guy to do everything properly so i left him there and went to Burlington Sq to withdraw money from his acc. coming back, i took the lift up to the shop. and i was standing at the back of the lift. and i think all of you know how crowded SLS lifts are always, and i had to get out at the 2nd floor and i was saying “ackuse meee ackuse meee.” i couldnt speak coherently and my words “lou feng”!!!! OMG SO PAISEH CAN!!!! :(
i felt so ke lian that day. lol. anyway i didnt take a pic of our DS. shall take a pic from the internet to show u guys (:

its matt black inside so the guy who sold it to us said we would not have the problem of scratches and the colour coming out from frequent use. (:
damage was $300 in total for the ds lite and the package of crystal case and everything. the new ds lite I was just a ds lite with camera. and games that uses the camera to play are original so imagine how much money we would have to spend to play those games? could use the DS Lite I to take pictures outside and self protraits as it has dual camera, one facing outside and one on the inside. and since we already have a camera, we just got a DS Lite.
Day 1 of Wisdom tooth surgery-
couldnt open my mouth big or wide enough to smile for a few hours.
talk also lou feng. :(
dentist said no food and drinks for 2 hours. surgery ended at 4pm.
after the anaesthetic wore off it really hurts and i looked so pitiful that bf asked if i wanted to stay home.
but i wanted to go out since it was a saturday and most of his friends gathered, which was quite rare. its been almost a year since so many of us came out together. so we went. every action i did and every step i took caused me pain :(
him speeding on the bike and making my helmet press against my head hurt too. but who asked the stupid Super 4 to tailgate him all the way on the expressway. super 4 big fuck? u cant even win a kr150. u and your pillion too fat lah =.=
dinner was at 7pm: mee thai mak.
its hard to eat even food that requires no chewing at all. the motion of putting food into my mouth hurts. sucking on a straw to drink hurts too. but drinking without a straw hurt more then. slowly after half a bowl of mee, i mastered the art of eating and sucking so gently that the muscles on my left side didnt need to move much and thus the pain was lessened loads.
had my medicine after that. the dentist gave me 2 kinds of antibiotics and 2 kinds of painkillers. it wasnt that painful after i had the painkillers and i finally could smile and talk normally. was so happy!
but after bout 2hours+, my eyes started to swell. dripped Eye Mo and walked around but didnt help. it started with 1 eyelid only. his friends decided to go clubbing together and we wanted to go since its been sucha long time since all of us went out together like this. i couldnt take alchohol due to the wound but i wanted to go all the same. i could abstain from alchohol. but when we got home to change, (i was in slippers so no clubbing for me), the other eyelid swell too. and i started getting gastric pain. it was bout 10pm then.
i think the medicine was too strong that mee tai mak aint enough to line my stomach. and both my eyelids puffed out like mashmallows. so in the end we didnt get to go. poor bf stayed home with me. but he said he didnt mind (:
Day 2:
mac hotcakes for breakfast. super shiok!!!
soft food aint that torturing afterall. i just had to press the hotcakes between my teeth on the right side and then its suitable for swallowing. SHIOK!
it was a late breakfast. so no lunch after that.
i skipped one of the antibiotics cause the dentist did say if it cause nausea or headaches, giddiness, i can stop it. i wondered if the med is so strong that it caused my eyelids to swell so i skipped it.
eyes was still slightly puffy from last night. but its a lot better.
visited my grandpa at his house. he fell down at his house :( poor him.
ate pandan cake there and ate medicine again. this time i took no painkillers.
dinner was omelette! (: minimal chewing required. soft food aint that bad!
aijisen for supper! cause i need to take 3 courses of med. i couldnt eat anything else other than the ramen. Hokkaido Corn ramen tasted good! i could eat the corn though cause its rather soft from the boiling. (:
medicine again. this time i took painkillers cause it was starting to hurt again and i wanted to sleep well.
Day 3, which is today!
no breakfast, woke up too late. lunch was porridge. Pi Dan Shou Rou Zhou. i could take the century egg, but if that mouthful contained too much of the chicken shreds, i need to spit the chicken out. its too hard to chew.
medicine at 2pm.
its time for dinner. (: and 2nd course of medicine.
going out soon for dinner. and i wanna have ice-cream from swensens!
jennifer said ice cream was what she loved to eat during her period of wisdom tooth surgery. i wanna try that!
