The series was originally written by Robert Jordan, but he passed away before he wrote the final book. Brandon Sanderson picked it up at the request (I think?) of Robert Jordan’s wife. It’s just strange that the last book ended up being split into three, but I’m happy they still chose to finish the series, because I really want to find out what happens next.

Book 12, called “The Gathering Storm”, is set for release next month, so I’m getting pretty excited about it.:p I’d already have the time to read it since the sem’s over by then.
