US Trip Day 15-17: Illinois
by iheartbadtz:mymelody.com
This is probably going to be the second to the last set of pictures from my vacation (which was two months ago, see how lazy I am at posting ‘em?:P) Anyway, as the title says, we somehow reached Illinois.:p The story behind that is we actually didn’t have any intentions of going there, but our relatives who live there found out that we were in the US at that time and called us up to invite us to visit them, even for just a few days. Which is why we found ourselves in the airport at the start of the week yet again. We didn’t really tour the area near where my relatives lived, but we did get to go downtown, so that was pretty fun. Tulips! My favorite! Urm, yeah. I don’t remember what the silver bean-shaped thing was, but it looked pretty cool so I posted it here.XD Pics from Sears Tower. We were on the 51st floor, I think. I couldn’t resist taking a picture of the Obama chocolate.:P There was a whole shelf filled with Obama memorabilia in the Sears souvenir shop. One of the things we did there was go on this river (I think?) cruise that spills over to Lake Michigan, and that’s where I got a lot of photos. My memory’s pretty hazy already, so I can’t label which buildings are which, but I know that there’s the building owned by Donald Trump, the Opera house, and some other places. We also went to this Japanese restaurant called "Tsukasa". It’s funny, because the attending chef kinda looked like Ando from Heroes (and yes, I know James Kyson Lee’s Korean). Their food’s pretty yummy, and the chefs there are really funny and friendly, so it’s a pretty good resto to check out if you’re there. Since I was the one holding the camera, the chef asked me to take a few steps back so I can take a picture as he lit the stove on fire. My little cousin’s funny, since he’s holding his hands up to protect himself from the fire (And no, you’re not seeing a version of the Ring in the pictures, I really smudged them.:P) We also went to a Brazilian restaurant called "Fogo de Chao". Food was yummy, but the meat!*heart attack*
