US Trip Day 4: Nevada, Arizona, and Utah
Yep, you read it correctly: we went through three states in one day.XD Actually, the original plan was to go to the Grand Canyon, but my sister was a little worried about the steep drive (directions showed that that the zigzag part alone took about four hours), so we ended up going to the Valley of Fire, a Nevada National Park, and we also tried to hunt for a lookout point in Arizona to see the Canyons, even just from a distance. No such luck. I can’t remember why we ended up reaching Utah.o_o Anyway, on to the pictures! Valley of Fire pics: The photos definitely don’t justify the place. The rocks were very red, so you really see why it’s called the Valley of Fire. It’s also interesting, because apparently, back in the dawn of time, the area used to be under the sea, and it took about a thousand years before the water flowed somewhere else. It’s pretty hard to imagine, because it almost felt like a desert there. Check out the contrast between the colors of the mountains at the back and the Valley of Fire rock deposits. Right after I clicked, the lizard jumped in my direction. I ran so fast! The white part’s actually silica, while the red part has iron in it, producing the color. Coming in to Utah… You can see my sister’s GPS.XD Going back to the hotel…
