US Trip Day 3: Las Vegas
So yeah, back to the regular programming. Haha!Anyway, Day 3 came, and we had to say goodbye to San Francisco.*sniff* I really loved that place. If you’re visiting there, make sure you grab a bowl (or two) of their clam chowder (white sauce, not the red sauce. It’s more fattening, but it tasted better, at least in the restaurant we ate in). Again, I’m promoting Argonaut Hotel. It’s really nice, and it’s not just the place, but the people working there as well are really awesome too.
Anyway, we went back to the airport and headed off to our terminal. Our next stop? You guessed it (or read it, since it’s in my blog title XD)
Vegas, baby!
We actually stayed there for two nights, two days, but I’ve got other pictures to show you for Day 4, so I’ll just be posting all the Vegas pictures here.
My parents, brother, and my sister tried their luck at the slot machines, but I didn’t. It didn’t matter though, because my sister gave me some of her winnings, so I ended up getting more money without risking my own.XD Also, I don’t think they would allow me to gamble. I might be of legal age, but I don’t think I look it. I think it’s the height.x_x Heck, when we were in the baggage counter at the airport waiting for our luggage, I had one of the attendants ask what my age was simply because I was standing beside a slot machine. Crazy.x_x
I think it was in Vegas where I gained the most weight from, since we were always eating in buffets. Granted, we only ate breakfast and dinner since we were out a large part of the day sight-seeing and stuff, but we ate a lot during those times to compensate. Hotel restaurants we ate in were in MGM Grand (incidentally, we stayed over at the Signature), Mandalay, and Paris (we had one of our dinners on the road, since we were still out until 9, and we got pretty hungry). My favorite was Paris in terms of food, even though my family disagreed with me and said their food was a little bland. Meh. The others had pretty good food too, though. Funny though, since we spent more time in Caesar’s Palace, and we didn’t even eat there!
We didn’t catch any of the shows, since we’d always arrive pretty late at night, so we were tired. Too bad, because I wanted to watch the Lion King live. Oh well.
Anyway, on to the pictures! I just resized them to not mess up the layout.
Can you see Yellow in the picture?XD
It’s only in Vegas where you can visit Paris, Venice, and Egypt in the same day.XD
The famous dancing fountains of Bellagio. It got the “Viva Las Vegas” song stuck in my head.XD
The next few shots are taken from Caesar’s Palace. While my family’s playing at the slots, I was busy taking pictures of the place.:P I loved reading Greek mythology when I was younger, so it was fun walking around and seeing the statues.
You definitely won’t get claustrophobic there, because the ceiling’s painted to look like you were outdoors.
Strangely, they also have an aquarium there. It doesn’t fit in the whole Greek thing, but what do I know, right?:P Love how the kid is so fascinated with the stingray.
Oh, and I discovered one of the best places to buy sweet stuff in Vegas! It’s in the Bellagio, and it’s called “Jean-Philippe Chocolates and Pastries”. They have the best ice cream. Ever.
It’s the creamiest I’ve ever tasted. Yum! Just thinking about it makes me drool.XD
And if that’s not enough, check out one of their displays:
Three kinds of fondue! Waaah! And that’s just one part of it, because it’s actually higher than that. There are more of those container things on the upper part.

I went to Vegas on my last trip, but it barely resembled what we saw, since we were there New Year’s eve to New Year there.:P It was incredibly crowded, you couldn’t walk even a single full step without bumping into anyone, but there were more events being held outside the hotels.
azog: To tell you the truth, it was a little too hot for me.x_x The sun was so high that you could get sunburned if you stayed out for long.x_x
aria_rose: It’s really yummy! I’m not exaggerating when I saw it’s the best ice cream I’ve tasted.XD
fairlady: Haha! You take Yellow, I’ll tackle Red.XD

WOW! You acually went to the Belligo?! I saw it on TV, on a show about best food destanations, and it was on the best buffet places in America. The people back at the greek place did a terrific job on the ceiling it’s so realistic!

Bellagio really had yummy food.XD You have to check it out when you go to Vegas. I know! No fear of any claustrophobic attacks when you’re in Caesar’s Palace!
