BatBale and Heath Joker

Anyone watched “The Dark Knight” yet? I have!^_^ First time I watched a superhero movie without trying to catch a glimpse of a hawt guy (well, Christian Bale looks good, but that’s not the reason why I saw it! And Heath, well, he’s covered in white goop and a load of makeup), but the movie’s awesome all the same.^_^ Oh wait, cancel that. Aaron Eckhart looked good. But then, he’s not really the reason why I watched it so…

Enough monologue! All I can say is, it’s probably the best Batman movie I’ve watched (the next would probably be the one with Michael Keaton, just because I’m a fan of Tim Burton. Heeheehee.) It’s way darker than the old movies, even “Batman Begins”. I liked this one too, because you didn’t really need to have an idea on how the Batman story goes (I don’t really follow his story) to appreciate the movie.

Have to say though, “The Dark Knight” wasn’t cool because of Batman (I actually hated the “Batman” voice), but because of the Joker. Heath was amazing in his role. I was telling my brother that you could practically see what the effect of the one-month isolation did to him in his role (and sadly, eventually to his life). He wasn’t the goofball, laughing maniac from the cartoons. He was really a lunatic, and that’s what makes him effective and scary. He captured the essence of who the Joker was - and it’s great, twisted, and sad all at the same time. I’m really going to miss Heathie, God bless his soul.:(

Anyway, is there any news about a possible follow-up movie? Christian Bale works as Batman, better than Val Kilmer (who was ok as Batman, but only because a poker face was the only expression he could come up with no matter what his role is x_x) and George Clooney (the worst Batman for me :/ To start with, his costume was just blech), I think. I hope he’ll still be the one playing the role for the next film.

  1. I’ll miss the hulking Batmobile! *sniff*

  2. I liked how Bale worked out the conceited part of Batman guy XD

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog. As for another sequel, according to a recent Newsweek interview with Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale is interested in doing another Batman with him. Nolan said, “All I can say is that, when we finished the first film, I didn’t have any intention of doing a second one. And this time, I really tried to put everything that I ever wanted to see in the Batman story into this film.”

Btw, Piano Squall, who I think was the person you were talking about, is great! He came to my school one day to perform. It was quite a performance.

  4. oh I hated his voice too! It looks like he has a machine voice or something, like darth vader! LOL
Yes, Ledger really will be missed… he shows in this movie he was a lot more than a pretty face…

  5. I absolutely hated it.x_x That’s the only thing I hated in the movie. Bet Christian Bale’s throat must’ve hurt by the time they finished shooting.x_x Yeah, definitely will miss Heath.:(

  6. better pray that chris nolan signs up for the next batman film then. and that robin is not introduced. because far as i know, bale will only star in another batflick if nolan is at the helm and if a robin is never introduced.

oh, and that wasn’t the batmobile. that was the tumbler. :D lovingly dubbed as the bat-tank by fans.
