Banoffee
Is it just me, or are banoffee pies all over the place these days?o_O I went to a cafe recently, and I thought I’d try their version of it. To be honest, I liked the one I tried before, from a different cake shop.:( This version is a little too sweet, and I couldn’t taste the coffee at all. Actually, it tasted more like caramel than coffee. Ordinarily I wouldn’t have minded since I love caramel even more than chocolate - ok, you can stop shouting “Heresy!” now - but since I was expecting the coffee taste, I wasn’t that happy about it. The first banoffee pie I tried wasn’t too sweet, and you really could taste the combination of the two flavors, so it was great. This one was a tooth decay waiting to happen.:/ I liked their Mexican hot chocolate though (they had it translated to a foreign language, but I can’t remember what it was x_x). It’s rich chocolate with cinnamon, and it’s really yummy! You should try it sometime.:) I found it quite pretty too.^_^

when i was in manila on vacay last dec-jan i saw these banoffee desserts. Didn’t get the chance to try them though. i was with a friend once and i wondered OUT LOUD “how can something be banoffee?!”. LOL he tried it on my behalf after i left. he said it was pretty good! too bad i didn’t get to taste it myself.

It’s pretty good.^_^ I also thought banoffee seems like a weird concept, but it tastes ok.^_^ I guess it depends on the one making it.
