Face Lift
Since I changed the template of my blog, I decided to change the contents as well - including the title.:) I’ll still be featuring some online quizzes, but I’ll also include some short stories (under “Lites”), probably just some cute romantic one-shots, Sanrio characters, and just about anything fun, happy, and cute that enter my mind.:P
To start with, I want to ask the people that’s been bothering me for the longest time: is Hana-Maru XO’s best friend, or girlfriend?o_O I’m confused! Some say that Hana Maru’s a girl, while others say he’s a boy. Sanriotown says he’s a boy, and I believe them, but some sites say that they’re a couple (if Hana-Maru’s a girl, that is). Can anyone enlighten me?:(

Gah, this confused me for the longest time as well. But, he’s definitely a boy seal.
The official Japanese Sanrio homepage and SanrioTown (and Wikipedia) all state this, and they’re more reliable than a fansite. Whoever said that Hanamaru was Badtz-Maru’s girlfriend must’ve misinterpreted Hanamaru’s love for gardening. XD

Yay! Thanks for clearing this up, Erin!:D I would trust official sites more than fansites, even though they also give pretty cool stuff too.:D

Hello. Hana-Maru is indeed a male. Althrough Hana means flower in Japanese, it can be a name for a boy too. The end of the part ‘-maru’ is basically a way to explain that the character is a boy.
Examples: Sakura-chan, Kushi-kun, Taisho-maru, etc.
