Free Comic Book Day! - Aftermath

May 5th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

I got on the RRCG bus towards Galleria but it stopped near the Floodway bridge because it had a flat and I had to wait a good 10 minutes before the next RRCG bus arrived so that I may continue my journey.

I arrived at Comic Odyssey at around 12nn and they only had 3 titles left since I arrived so late already.

  1. Legion of Super Heroes in the 31st Century
  2. Archie Comics Little Archie
  3. Who wants to be a superhero

I browsed the shop then took the 3 titles and went out. I saw Jojo looking at people playing in a .\\:tG tournament sponsored by Neutral Grounds. He just happened to have bought a comic some time before me and got a few nifty titles too. I told him that I went to Galleria just because it was free comic book day  and it ran out of Transformers the Movie Prequel #1 which was the one I looked forward to the most. Lo and behold, he pulls one out and just gave it to me. It’s nice to have friends. Thank you!

Lost backlog + Moods

May 4th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

Ok I’m back. I don’t really have much to tell you guys since all I’ve been up to lately is watching some backlog of Lost Season 3 that I’ve downloaded.

I’ve decided to use the mood icons I used to do on LJ since I miss it.

Current Mood:Happy Hello Kitty is: Happy

I will survive! / Painkillers are happiness! :D

May 3rd, 2007 by Ice Tornado

I’m feeling at about 90% right now. I may not be able to run, jump or whatever anymore but I’m still alive thanks to God! :)

I’ve been taking some painkillers to kill the pain so that it won’t hurt as much when I try to move around. But I can move around! Lifting heavy objects is now a no-no. We went to Robinson’s Galleria and some escalators weren’t working so I used the elevator to go up. After the movie, the escalators in a different area weren’t working so I had to painully walk down it. What movie did we watch?

Spiderman 3 was cool.  I was kinda wishing that the actor who played Eric Foreman from That 70’s show would replace Toby McGuire as Spiderman in future movies but I guess that would be highly improbable now that he’s a character in Spiderman 3. The special effects are fantastic.

I’ve got two very wonderful wounds on my right knee to help me remember the days that I lost my mobility. They haven’t healed yet but I suppose the scars would make a cool story to tell.

I talked to Jamie (Those who could find my LJ can find a pic of her + stories somewhere in the 2005 area) and we shared our experiences with the ocean. I told her about the first time I snorkeled last Sunday and she told me about her diving incident back in first year. We were both panicky when water started to fill our masks. Oh and we both can’t swim. Crazy girl. :p She always lightens up my day especially when we share stories.

Beach aftermath

April 30th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

I didn’t really get to sleep before the trip.

We went snorkeling. It was a first for me! It waas fun to look at the fishies. :)

The trip took 3 hours to go there and around 5 hours to go back.

My whole body is aching and I needed help to stand up.

I can’t sit up from a lying down position and I can’t stand from any position, even from sitting up. Waaah :~(

A Lazy Saturday

April 28th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

Today was pretty much unproductive for me.

I  woke up at 10am and checked the internet. I looked around for good KVCDs and found the one about the heroic Spartans. Found that Deathnote episode 28 was ready so I took it.

I ate my breakfast at 12:40pm  then lunch at 1pm and continued to just surf the web. By 3pm I stopped and went to my room and put in my KPop MP3 CD and just lay there for 4 hours.

The neighbors are having a party. *bad* Karaoke music is filling the air. And there seems to be a lechong baka. Mmmm yummy.

We’re going on a daytrip to the beach tomorrow.  6 hours in the Innova ugh.

Shopping

April 28th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

Mama has us on a mandatory trip to the beach so we went shopping today.

I got myself 2 throw pillows, they were buy one take one for only 99 pesos. I picked out some Wasabi flavored Oishi Ridges for the trip and a Sarsi for myself.

After the shopping, we ordered food to go at The Ultimate Sandwich and ate them at The Coffee Experience. I ate the Triple Decker 3 which had cheese, beef, ham, bell pepper, and onions in 3 slices of bread grilled to yumminess all for only 78 pesos. I drank a Red Iced Tea which cost a whopping 60 pesos considering that it was mostly ice.

My hamster friend found a kawaii Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons parody here . I’ve been reading it up to XIV so far and it’s still funny. :)

My Hobbies

April 27th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

#1 Legend of the Five Rings

It’s a collectible card game that I have grown to love. I was first introduced to it in 1998 but I played only mostly casual games with it since as a kid, I had no idea about tournament competetion. Fast forward to 2003 and I found about the Gold Edition and  that there were tournaments being held in Neutral Grounds - Galleria. It was nearly the end of Gold Edition but I still joined the tourney scene with my jank decks. Even though my deck was jank, my understanding of the rules led me to victories against some veteran players. I got a Scorpion/Unicorn Clan Rivals binder and got into the top 3 of our Storyline Tournament for the Yumi of Fire, I got eliminated by the guy who would win the tournament. I joined the Jade Hand after a while to impose purity on others since I heavily relied on my Jade weapons in my tournament decks. I was reborn as the Unicorn’s Feared Duelist.

I continued on to play Diamond and Lotus edition, building my own competetive jank decks and I usually forfeit my chances of winning the Kotei (it counts as somewhat like a National Championship tournament) because I need to be a judge since a whole lot of rulings come up in large tournaments. Thsi last Kotei, I counted the number of rulings I personally made and I reached 97. Yes, I was worked like a horse. :p

 #2 Collecting Stuff

I collect stuff. I collect Compact Discs, Softdrink can tabs, Hello Kitty stuff, cards, comic books, pictures and other stuff. These are not obsessions though, but they may have a little trace of  compulsion. :)

 #3 Video Games

I love playing console games. The PS2 was a wonderful “friend”. The genres I like best are Role-playing, Strategy, and Action/Adventure. In fighting games, I usually play a fast female/chinese character(example: Xianghua of Soulcalibur) usually to annoy my opponents who usually use the large built muscular guys(example: Nightmare of Soulcalibur).  I rarely use the training modes since I  don’t plan on playing really competetively. In gundam games, however I spend a lot of time strategizing how to beat my opponents up with the least amount of effort on my part and leads me to killing the competetion.

That’s it for now. :) I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. hee hee.

The American Idol and other stuff.

April 26th, 2007 by Ice Tornado

Today was the best American Idol ever since Ellen Degeneres, Jack Black, SEAL, and Il Divo were all present! It was really cheesy of them not to eliminate anyone though since the best part of the show is when the contestants cry during the elimination.

I watched Wild Hogs today and it was funny. I recommend it for everyone!

I saw Pussycat Dolls: The search for the next Doll and was wowed by the performances. The cutest one is Chelsea Korka who I think should win. :) I wonder if they will wear neko ears in the future? :p

The current series that I’m watching/waiting for are Heroes, Smallville, Veronica Mars, Lost, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Good Girls Don’t, Still Standing, and Prison Break. For Anime: Initial D, Deathnote, Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars

The current PS2 games I’ve been playing are Shining Force EXA, Rogue Galaxy, and Gundam VS Zeta Gundam.

I’ve added 2 more blog links.

Nine Three Seven - my very talented cousin

Temporary Madness - a permanently happy orgmate hehe.
