My Hobbies

#1 Legend of the Five Rings

It’s a collectible card game that I have grown to love. I was first introduced to it in 1998 but I played only mostly casual games with it since as a kid, I had no idea about tournament competetion. Fast forward to 2003 and I found about the Gold Edition and  that there were tournaments being held in Neutral Grounds - Galleria. It was nearly the end of Gold Edition but I still joined the tourney scene with my jank decks. Even though my deck was jank, my understanding of the rules led me to victories against some veteran players. I got a Scorpion/Unicorn Clan Rivals binder and got into the top 3 of our Storyline Tournament for the Yumi of Fire, I got eliminated by the guy who would win the tournament. I joined the Jade Hand after a while to impose purity on others since I heavily relied on my Jade weapons in my tournament decks. I was reborn as the Unicorn’s Feared Duelist.

I continued on to play Diamond and Lotus edition, building my own competetive jank decks and I usually forfeit my chances of winning the Kotei (it counts as somewhat like a National Championship tournament) because I need to be a judge since a whole lot of rulings come up in large tournaments. Thsi last Kotei, I counted the number of rulings I personally made and I reached 97. Yes, I was worked like a horse. :p

 #2 Collecting Stuff

I collect stuff. I collect Compact Discs, Softdrink can tabs, Hello Kitty stuff, cards, comic books, pictures and other stuff. These are not obsessions though, but they may have a little trace of  compulsion. :)

 #3 Video Games

I love playing console games. The PS2 was a wonderful “friend”. The genres I like best are Role-playing, Strategy, and Action/Adventure. In fighting games, I usually play a fast female/chinese character(example: Xianghua of Soulcalibur) usually to annoy my opponents who usually use the large built muscular guys(example: Nightmare of Soulcalibur).  I rarely use the training modes since I  don’t plan on playing really competetively. In gundam games, however I spend a lot of time strategizing how to beat my opponents up with the least amount of effort on my part and leads me to killing the competetion.

That’s it for now. :) I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. hee hee.
