I have been following with great interest the amount of interest and topical comments in the forums and elsewhere about Hello Kitty Online and it’s potential subscriber numbers and how it will be in the millions of millions, nobody seems to doubt that!

The most interesting one is the whole “Wow” Beater thing. Lots of games go out and claim they want to beat WoW, but why do we talk about HKO beating WoW? What amazes us about this topic? Does this mean that the world of Pink is here sooner than we all expect?

Well one image I found that I think you’ll find all amusing in all of this is this one from orcraider, ironically he too is on Hello Kitty blogging away!

That’s what I was thinking when I saw this! Very funny…

When I saw this, I imagined what would Hello Kitty look like if she entered one of the so-called hardcore MMORPG worlds, while Halo is obviously not WoW or LOTRO like material she’d have to enter those worlds with some kind of protective gear wouldn’t she? Those brutal FPS, or hack-n-slash fellows would probably try to harm little miss kitty!

A somewhat pink twist to award winning contest submissions, the contest provided for an exclusie Hello Kitty Tote bag amongst other things, there were something like 20 winners!

There is no point to this post other than to congratulate my Guildee! (is there such a word?)

I have made this quick scratch book art for Hello Kitty Online, a gif file in shades of pink, for the pinkest game of all, I think it is appropriate to spread the cheer of Thinking Pink, also in online games! Use it as you see fit, just don’t forget to provide attribution.

It’s only been a few days since I started my little pink invasion into this land of dreary dark world of monsters and muscle men (and girls with may-as-well have no clothes on) and it’s been fun and interesting and I will say this.

Those of you who embrace pink and accept it as a possibility, you’re great, you’re real men (if you are a man that is, or boy or whatever) and you aren’t afraid to explore and it shows you’re sensitive too. You don’t have to love pink, but you have an open mind, you’ll go far! You’re not afraid!

But there are some really interesting comments you can read in my photos and other blog comments like:

It’s Ghey… (hey, learn to spell)

Go back to the Ghetto snoop dog (what does snoop dog have to do with any of this, and besides, he’s a guy and was that meant to be a racist comment? maybe you’re confused or something)

and other comments like this that are lacking in etiquette. I am more amused, I especially liked the forum post talking about manliness and those who are ok with this game are more open-minded etc.

But all of this led me to think about something else and that is …

hmmmm I wonder, are men actually scared of pink, does it threaten them and is that why they need to hurl insults? Isn’t that a bit like all bark but no bite? Why can girls wear all colors and men don’t dare touch pink? Never heard of a girl who won’t wear black, blue or whatever color you call macho, so why don’t you like pink?

So who would have known that a site with dark and dreary mmorpg content like Age of Conan, Worldcraft and other "let me cut your throat-hack your face-stomp your guts" type of typical brutal mmorpg game actually has room for pink?

Well not really, but I decided to blog there on the side to promote pinkness, cuteness and "let me give you flowers-tend your gardens-kiss your face" type of mmorpg that is Hello Kitty Online.

The blog feature is very limited, frankly this blog setup here is way cooler and the people are completely different but it’s sort of funny, I actually saw rippleclouds image up there too! Woot, did anyone give her full credit for this?

So I say, let’s go there and be pink, cute and cuddly and teach them all something about what a real mmorpg is about LOL!
