Ever wanted to leave your mark on a persistent game world? You walk around the game world and say "Hey, I did that!" Now is your chance! Now, now… this event is for the guilds. So, if you’re not in one, band up with a couple of guildless adventure because this sure is worth it!
You have less than 24 hours to come up with ideas for a design for your own guild shirt! Awesome huh? The costs for each shirt will depend on the number of colors of your design. Here are the mechanics:
- Fabric: 800 gold
- Base shirt color: 500 gold
- Additional colors: If you want to add more colors, the cost goes up exponentially:
- 1st color: 1000 gold
- 2nd color: 2000 gold
- 3rd color: 4000 gold
- 4th color: 8000 gold
- … You get the idea
- Design: 1500 gold (if you’re going for a more elaborate design)
- Labor Cost: 250 gold
- Vat: 10%
This cost is per shirt. If your guild has 200 players, and all of them wants a shirt, they have to pony up the money.
Here’s a picture to show what exactly we mean by colors and designs. Please note however, that for the actual guild shirts, we will only be using one shirt style, and that is a short-sleeved, round neck, basic length tee like the one in the first picture below.
It can get pretty complicated so here’s a scenario for you guys:
Let’s say "The Tour Bus" guild, which has 10 members, wants to make a guild shirt with a flaming school bus on it, the price breakdown would be:
- Fabric: 800 gold
- Base shirt color: 500 gold (Red)
- 3 additional colors: 1ooo + 2000 + 4000 = 7000 gold (Orange, Yellow and Black)
- Design: 1500 gold
- Labor Cost: 250 gold
- Gross Cost: 10,050 gold
- VAT: 1005 gold
- Cost per shirt: 11,055 gold
- Total cost for the guild: 11,055 x 10 = 110,550
Here’s a simpler scenario wherein you don’t use a design:
- Fabric: 800 gold
- Base shirt color: 500 gold (Blue)
- 2 additional colors: 1000 + 2000 = 3000 gold (Black, White)
- Labor Cost: 250 gold
- Gross Cost: 4,550 gold
- VAT: 455 gold
- Cost per shirt: 5,005 gold
- Total cost for the guild: 5,005 x 10 = 50,050
Guild leaders/representatives and will be responsible for collecting payments from members. GMs will start collecting from them on 9PM EST on Dec. 22, ‘08.
Wait for an upcoming announcement regarding the submission of designs per guild. Alright, guilds, pool your creative juices together and start crankin’!

Even more so then that… I want to know more specifics about these items.. are these our reward for the guild events? Do the people who aren’t playing during xmas, and not able to turn in $$ for them going to get their items in the OB? or do the few 5-25% members who are still playing at this late stage in the xmas event supposed to cover for all the rest of the members?
The xmas quests have drained a lot of our $$, if every guild is hunting mobs, there’s going to be a lack of $$ to go around and overcampage, and since farming is crap now, and monsters don’t give exp, a lot of people have left and aren’t coming back… A lot of people are going to be left out if these are our rewards and only people who pay now gets them…
I hope they give us more info on this soon…

of course it’s different, Kaito. This isn’t the guild prizes for the Food for Friends winners. This is totally different. If the member is not online now to fork over the cash before FCR ends, then they don’t get the shirt.
There is a high possibility of us doing this during OB anyway so all the players who missed out will be able to cash in again.

Okay that’s good, I was worried for a bit there because a lot of other games would pull that kind of BS, but as long as everyone who helped with the other event gets their prizes and this is a completely seperate one for just the people who do stuff now then thats perfect….
Just was worried about people who aren’t playing during this event and who helped out before missing out… even Kenman seems to have given up during this xmas event… XD
That helps relieve a lot of the pressure I was feeling at having to get 140 x 10,000 gold in 24 hours…. lol
This kind of event sounds pretty fun otherwise… I look forward to the designing something…

This is so cool…but wait, shouldn’t we be able to purchase shirts for people who are not online provided we have the cash?
December 22nd, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Oh, when and how do we submit designs?

I just wish this wasn’t guild only. My guild from earlier FB seems to have vanished, and its frustrating to have so much guild-based.

You sure don’t give ppl alot of time for these events. 24 hours? The event quests were draining enough (ugh, farming!). Some of us HAVE lives outside of HKO! I missed out. Boo hoo.
Merry Christmas!
