At the kick-off of our in-game charity event “Food for Friends“, our Hello Kitty Online Founders have already shown us just how much time and effort they are willing to spend on helping those in need! The numbers so far are heartwarming, because in only 2 hours, our GMs were able to collect a total of 49,968 food items! Without further ado, here’s the breakdown of the results for the first collection period this Novemeber 3, 2008.

I think this is horrible that a charity event is being touted as more of a competition, if it was truly for charitable work we’d all be given equal credit/rewards.

I don’t know if it’s that bad, afterall, it’s trying to make us do more to get more, I mean in charity events the highest donors get the highest mention of note, like platinum sponsor, silver sponsor etc..

i think people would have still participated even if this wasn’t a competition~* i wanted to take part but was guildless so i went and made one so obviously my guild isn’t going to win since it’s only me making the food. heh. this is a easy & fun way to do something nice and a great opportunity for those who enjoy doing stuff like volunteering on their freetime.

This is great.
WE IS AWESOME!
The only problem I keep seeing is a select few people from other guilds ‘taking’ mines and trees. It’s sad that people are so wrapped up in this they’d rather cheat than to do this honest and fair to help others in need.

Really good, all of the guilds keep up the great job.

I’m disappointed. I can’t believe Misfits only got 5%.

Hmm when i wasnt sure of my guild donating, I was going to be an independent donator without making a guild, and they were going to accept my items, but it turned out that the guild rep was going to do it so i just gave the food items to him.
I never saw this as a competition, if its charity people should be thinking about the children who are going to receive the food stuffs. Im happy that all of hko was able to participate and help children in need in such a fun way. soon id like to go out in the field (like in real life) to help out and donate time.
