Be Nice, Guys is all about… well, being nice! If you’re nice enough, new players might actually be able to help grizzled HKO veterans.

Be nice, guys!

Looks like HKO is being slowly populated by high-level players… Wouldn’t it be nice if we turn this on its head? What would happen if those high-end items became irrelevant? Hmmm that’d be nice, yeah?

Instructions:

GM-Salvador, our newbie item collector with a surprising amount of rewards, will be standing in Sanrio Harbour (all the cool things happen in Harbour, methinks). All you have to do is give him:

  1. 3 newbie wands
  2. 3 white tees
  3. 3 traveler pants
  4. 10 traveler shoes

Simple right? The payoff is quite huge too… Leopard Glasses. Heck, if you were willing to camp out for Leopard Glasses, you wouldn’t mind shelling out a couple of thousand gold for those newbie items right? Right?

So, if you’ve got friends who haven’t played HKO yet, invite them! There are still a lot of ways to get into FB via Green Pixels and MMOsite.

Be Nice, Guys will start on October 24, 10pm EST  and will end on October 26 at 10pm EST.

If anything else, this will be a great social experiment. Do you keep your newbie items or just let a high-level player buy you out? Oh the questions life throws at us!

  1. Hahahahaha!!! Best event EVER!!! Ahahahahahaha!!!

  2. How many new players are joining HKO each day? I can see this event getting pretty hard to complete if there aren’t 5 new players per “veteran” since there are over 200+ people who are probably past the “newbie” stage. Hopefully many of those players decided to save their old equipments.

  3. I guess we can always queue up to camp the leopard….

  4. this will be fun and very very interesting to see.

  5. Oh, great event, guys! hahahahaha *snorts*…I have to love the irony XD I do think that you guys will need to find kind newbs, as inventory gets cleaned out regularly at low levels

  6. hahahahaha! awesome! yaaay for being nice! that’s what HKO is all about!

  7. awesome awesome quest, SC, I am with you on that one, the irony is just great, personally kind newbies aren’t the only thing to consider, as long as you trade them and help them they will give you those items, I am sure, afterall we have more to offer them don’t we now?

  8. heh i gave away lv16 shoes, lv8 pants and lv3 wand just for 1 lv1 pant. even gave away my lv13 wand - no i’m using lv3 XD.

now that i’m finished - where is Salv?! I want to redeeeem!!!!

  9. “it is prefer US player here”
    “sorry” - GM-Christie

that is the answer i got from GM-Christie when she said that the only way for people of our time zone is to wait till 4am to hand over the quest…

  10. Good intentions as a social experiment, but in a way it encourages higher level members to pressure new members in order to get what they need. If we could craft them, it would be an interesting experiment as to who would share the opportunity and who would exploit it financially.

  11. are comments moderated? i responded to DlS before rune.

  12. i guess this one was for people who plays alot??
is not that i have something against them, everyone can do whatever they want, but in my case, the last thing i do is sit in front a computer on my weekends, so i didn’t do this one since it lasted like just this past weekend?? :S a bit unfair in my opinion for people like me that don’t play every day!!

  13. Noone (or at least far from everyone) will be able to participate in every event, it’s impossible.
I was away for the weekend and so I didn’t participate. But unfair? I don’t agree. The ones who plays the most will have the most items and get further faster. Every game is like that. Fair? Then we need events that will last until the game ends so that those who joins later also get a chance.. and those who play once a month.. and.. well, I think you get my point.

I look forward to the next event :)
