Dear users, during todays maintenance the event Food for Friends 2 was applied to the European Hello Kitty Online Servers.

Here’s how it works:

• You need to be a member of a Guild to participate in this event. If you are, head to London and talk to Cinnamoroll on January 21-30, 2010.
• Click on the Food Point List button to check the list of items that your Guild can contribute and their corresponding donation value.
• Discuss with your Guild members who will be responsible for crafting which items.
• To give items to Cinnamoroll, talk to him and click on the Donate button.
• To check your Guild’s current point standing, talk to Cinnamoroll and click on the Standing button.

Winners

Guild members who take part in Food for Friends 2 will receive Loyalty Points equal to their total Guild donation points at the end of the event. In addition, the three Guilds with the most donation points will also receive the following:

1. First place 60.000 Loyalty Points
2. Second place 40.000 Loyalty Points
3. Third place 20.000 Loyalty Points

Loyalty Points can be used to purchase a wide variety of items in the Hello Kitty Online Dream Shop. Enjoy Food For Friends 2!
Other changes:

• The NPC sell and buy prices for all crafted materials were updated.
• The button for Party Info was added to the User Interface already. Please note that the full party system is not yet available though but will be coming within the next weeks. Your key collection can now be accessed via the button Collection which holds both, your key collection and your monster encyclopedia.
• The money reward of the quests Lost in the Forest and Pass the Message! were fixed.
• A problem with the quest Feel Better Soon! was fixed.
• The description of the quest Twin Stars Letter Express was fixed in the English version of the game.
• A problem with the quest Chow Time! was fixed.
• A problem with the items Jello and Precious Jello was fixed.
• You don’t appear topless anymore when dying while wearing the item Spy Jacket.
• Mr. Policeman now has the tutorial icon in every town.

‘Tis the season for celebrations! The streets of Hello Kitty Online are adorned with festive decorations, the holiday spirit is in the air, and everyone is busy preparing for the big day. From December 21 to December 28, 2009, players of Hello Kitty Online from all over the world can get together with their friends to enjoy a very special in-game event celebrating the holiday season!

Are you ready? It’s time for Hello Kitty’s Holiday Capers & Celebrations!

Special holiday quests – which side will you choose?
Who better to spread the holiday cheer than Santa himself? With the big celebration fast approaching, Santa can use all the help he can get, so visit him at Sanrio Harbour and lend him a hand. Even though the warm fuzzy feeling of assisting Santa is reward in itself, he will also give you something for helping him! Make sure you got the free item Santa’s Invitation from the Dream Shop to start his quests.

While Santa and his helpers are busy, someone is stirring up trouble! He goes by the name of Mr. Jinch, and he’s looking for people willing to help him pull off his pranks. If you’re feeling a little mischievous, find Mr. Jinch in Sanrio Harbour to see if you have what it takes to be a trickster just like him! Make sure you got the free item Mr. Jinch’s Invitation from the Dream Shop to start his quests.

New quests for both sides will be released on a daily basis, and you must choose to help either Santa or Mr. Jinch, but not both. Once you have chosen your side there’s no turning back, so choose wisely!

Limited-edition items
The Party Master is back in town, and he’s got special new items for your avatars and houses! Collect Candy Cane Shards by completing holiday quests, or win them by playing the Emote Game! The Party Master will take your Candy Cane Shards and give you cool limited-edition avatar items and house furniture. The items can be obtained only during this event, so collect as many of them as you can before Hello Kitty’s Holiday Capers & Celebrations ends on December 28!

The Main Event – December 23, 2009
On December 23, 2009, gather in Sanrio Harbour for this holiday’s main event, where more games and treats are in store for all players. The details are still top secret, but this is one party you don’t want to miss! This event is going to be the highlight of Hello Kitty’s Holiday Capers & Celebrations!

Other Changes and Bug Fixes

• Several icons were added to the mouse pointer.
• The commands for the basic emoticons are now displayed if you mouseover them in the emoticon window.
• Christmas special quest notes are displayed in purple above the NPCs heads.
• Some texts in the English version of the game were updated and corrected (Quests, dialogues, etc.)
• The item Bad Wood which is dropped on normal maps was changed to Soft Wood
• Dead trees on your farm now only drop Bad Wood
• After creating a character and logging in to the game for the first time, the Flash Tutorial is started automatically.
• Trading is canceled automatically when you are attacked by a monster.
• The crafting requirements for Spy Pants were changed.
• When a player dodges a monster’s hit, a 0 is displayed.
• The size of the Miniblog screenshots were changed from 256×192 to 420×315
• Some graphic issues regarding equipment were corrected.
• The invisible player problem should be fixed.
• A mismatch problem in the monster encyclopedia regarding the monsters Ping-pong and Pong-Pong was fixed.

Dear players, as previously stated, here is further information on Hello Kitty’s great birthday party at November 1st. Now is your last chance to prepare yourself!

Kitty’s birthday party will take place on November 1st at 5pm (17:00) CEST in the HKO-EU channel. We want to gather all players from all channels at this one, central party in order to make it even bigger and more fun for everyone.
Here’s how the party will be taking place:

1. On November 1st, 5pm the GMs will announce the beginning of the event and shortly afterwards London will have an entrance restriction.
   Only players who are wearing 4 different equipment parts from the Party Master can enter. All players who are wearing less or no event equipment parts at all will be kicked out of London and cannot enter for the party’s duration.
2. After all die-hard Kitty fans have gathered in London, we will be starting out slowly, with a little chit chat among party guests and of course greeting and congratulating our birthday girl in person, Hello Kitty!
3. As it gets later, we will be starting the exciting group paper chase! Quickly follow the clues the GM or system message is giving you! Once you find the destination place, the next message will pop up.
   If you followed all the clues correctly, you will be warped to the final attraction of the party…
4. … the Giant Piñata!
   “What, just another boring Piñata?” you think? Look again my friend, because this monstrous Piñata can be considered the great end boss of the whole birthday event!
   With 1 Million HP it requires all participants of the party to work together to get it down before the day is over!
   But of course your joint efforts will be rewarded. If you are lucky, the Giant Piñata will drop you one of the following, super-rare items which can only be obtained at this very party from this very Piñata:

Dear users, during the last few weeks there were several questions raised regarding Sanrio Loyalty Points as well a a lot of confusion. We would like to try to clear up most of your question and doubts regarding Hello Kitty Online’s second currency.

1. What are Sanrio Loyalty Points?
   Sanrio Loyalty Points are one of the two currencies you can use to go shopping in the Hello Kitty Online Item Mall.
   They are thought as a kind of reward for using the SanrioTown portal which is associated with the Hello Kitty Online Game.
2. What can I use Sanrio Loyalty Points for?
   You may use the points you earned for your activity to buy certain items from the Hello Kitty Online Item Mall. Only items which are marked with a Loyalty Point price, indicated by a small Kitty head can be bought.
3. How do I gain Sanrio Loyalty Points?
   As Sanrio Loyalty Points are regarded as your reward for being active on the SanrioTown portal, you gain them for various activities.The following table was been taken from European SanrioTown:

4. Why did I have a very high number of Loyalty Points in the very beginning of the game but now a negative value of Sanrio Loyalty Points?
   In order to make it possible for you to earn points on SanrioTown and spend them a little later in the Hello Kitty Online game, we needed to establish a link between the game and SanrioTown. During this process unfortunately some of you, who never did more than registering for the game were given a very high number of SLP by mistake.
   As the system behind the allocation of Loyalty Points is still in the process of fine tuning, the mistake was discovered and reverted automatically. Meaning the points that were given out by mistake were deducted again. For some users, who already used those points, given by mistake to buy Items, this meant that they got a negative value of SLP.
   We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused from the still ongoing adjustment of the SLP system and will reset all users with negative SLP to 0 SLP again. The respective users are allowed to keep the items that they bought for the falsely allocated SLP.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope the cool Loyalty Items in the Item Mall will encourage you to have a lot of fun on SanrioTown!

Dear players, not only did we add a lot of new gameplay features with today’s patch - we also applied the exciting time-limited event in order to celebrate the 35th anniversary of world’s favourite Kitty on November 1st with an awesome party!

The event period will last from October 20th until November 3rd.

• All towns in our beloved Sanrio Land were decorated to get you in the right mood for Hello Kitty’s birthday. Make sure to take some screenshots of the pretty decoration, so you can brag to your friends who missed the event.
• Birthday Tokens: The item Birthday Token was added to the game. You will receive it from quests, mini-games and several other activities during the event period.
  With those Tokens you may buy exclusive Kitty Anniversary Items for your character and your house.
• Hello Kitty Birthday exclusive quest line: Of course Kitty’s friends in each city in Sanrio Land wish to celebrate the anniversary of their best friend ever. So they are planning on crafting beautiful floats to salute Kitty. Can you help them to craft the Floats?
  Start with talking to The Policeman in Sanrio Harbour. He needs help constructing Sanrio Harbour’s float.
  
• The Party Master has come to every town.
  …. Hey, don’t laugh! This guy is dead-serious! And he brought you some cool items and even more fun as well.
  Buy exclusive items for your avatar and your house from him using your birthday tokens. Might take quite a while until these items are available again, so make sure to get em all.
  He also offers you various games to play with other players:
  The Emote Game:
  This game needs at least 4 players to join in before it starts. The NPC will present you with an emote and hopefully you’re quick enough to type in the command! You can earn quite some tokens from this game, but you may only play it once a day.
  Bingo:
  There are three types of Bingo games. Straight Line, Nine Pack and Blackout.
  For each game you need to buy the respective Bingo Card from the Party master.
• The Party Clown roams around the cities! If you are lucky and he likes you, you will receive some Tokens from him!
• On various maps you can find Birthday Piñatas during the event period! They will be appearing randomly and cannot be taken down easily, so make sure to hit it with other players. Once it opens, you may get Tokens or even rare, exclusive items!
• The Great Hello Kitty Birthday Party
  This great party will take place on November 1st (exact details will be posted soon) but only true Kitty lovers may take part. You need to wear at least 4 different equipment items from the Party Master NPC in oder to be admitted to the party.
  What will happen on the party? Well… we won’t tell. Only so much: Hello Kitty, Group Games and even more rare, limited items.

Dear users, during todays maintenance we applied an exciting bunch of new features on the European Hello Kitty Online servers! Trains, mini blogs, multiplayer games… wow!Transportation System available

• A train station has been added to each town. Just search your mini map for the warp called Sunbright Express in order to enter it.
  With Sunbright Express, you may travel from town to town in no time… given you have the correct Ticket of course.
• Bronze Ticket: This will be your very first ticket for the new Sunbright Express. You can get it as reward from little Ten in London, who needs your help. Just talk to him and you will get sent on a new exciting adventure.
  The Bronze Ticket can only be used once every 2 days and you may only visit cities you have already been to before.
• Silver Ticket: This ticket for unlimited use lasts 5 days and you may visit every town, even the ones you never set foot on.
  Available from the Hello Kitty Online Item Mall soon.
• Golden Ticket: This ticket for unlimited use lasts 12 days and you may visit every town, just like the Silver Ticket.
  Available from the Hello Kitty Online Item Mall soon.
• Diamond Ticket: This ticket for unlimited use lasts 30 days and you may visit every town.
  Available from the Hello Kitty Online Item Mall soon.

Mini game Managers

• The Minigame Manager NPCs in the cities of London, Paris and Beijing now let you play multi-player minigames! Just talk to the NPC, wait for other players to join and have endless fun!
• London: Rink Racers
  Race on the ice rink with your friends. But be careful if you have the lead: other players may use meany tricky items in oder to get to the top themselves!
• Paris: Snack Stackers
  What else would fit the city of Paris better than some delicious pastry chef treats? Stack the tasty treats and try to create rows of the same color in order to win!
• Beijing: Chewpies Scramble
  The adorable little mice are on the loose! But be careful - don’t hit a wall or another mouse or you’re OUT!

Mini-Blog Feature

• The Mini-Blog feature was added to the game. Whenever you are in your own house or your own farm, press F9 in order to make a screenshot of your current location and open up the Mini-Blog window.
  In the window you may enter a title, a description and some details about your farm or house. As soon as you confirm, your blogpost as well as the screenshot will be sent to your very own SanrioTown Blog and be visible for everyone!
  Show your friends what you got!

New ingame Tutorials

• The Policeman in Sanrio Harbour now lets you access the different chapters of the funny interactive Hello Kitty Online Tutorial with Captain Jed from within the game. Talk to him if you are new and lost in the game.

Enhanced Pet System

• Enhanced stats which were given to you by your pet will appear in green colour in your status window now.
• Your beloved pet now shows you better than before what it needs with big emoticons. No way to forget it’s hungry from now on!
• A shortcut to the pet window was added to the game. From now on, simply click on the little waving paw on the right hand side of your quickslot bar to open it. This quickslot only appears when you let your pet run free.
• Cleaning up your pet now has an animation and takes some time, similar to your skills.
• The pet card of your current pet now also shows up as equipment in your character information.

Other changes

• The level cap was increased to level 35. Also following several requests, the general balance regarding monster encounters was raised up to Founder’s Beta level again.
• The user interface on your farm and in your house was slightly changed.
• Some of the quest-relevant Flash games have a difficulty setting now. You can choose between easy, medium and hard.
• You may now capture screenshots without the user interface on them. Simply use CTRL+F11.
• Several graphical bugs regarding equipment were fixed.
• Some faulty quest descriptions and quests were corrected. Popple for example should take your package now!

Finally the servers for European Hello Kitty Online are back up and offer you new features and more fun in your beloved game.

• A new warp gate has opened up in South Wind Grassland which leads you to the beautiful city of Paris. And it’s just about time, because Paris is in big trouble! The Post Office has suddenly been locked and the Mailman has disappeared. Now letters and packets are piling up in Paris and people are waiting desperately for someone to help!

• Be sure to also pay a visit to the metropolis of Beijing! The Little Twin Stars in Paris have lost their magical powers… maybe a stranger in Beijing by the name of Pau Pipo can help? If you only could understand what he is saying…

• The Item Mall is accessible from the game menu now! Get yourself some Sanrio Cash Points on the hellokittyonline.eu website and style up your character!
• Wondering how your house, that you maybe built in Open Beta looks from the inside? You can finally enter it now and decorate it with fancy furniture which you learn to craft on your travels through Paris and Beijing.
• The Pet Supply NPC in Paris has learned some interesting new skills. If you can bring him two pet cards of a certain type, he can now cross-breed them into whole new creatures. Amazing!
