The Land of Watanabe has Many Traditions
The surprises just keep coming everyday for the 7th child.
Upon her travels to the Kingdom of her sister-in-law, it seems marriage in Watanabe is no simple task.
While doing some research with her brother, Taiki, she realized that Kaito’s marriage to Ayumi was no easy task. It is the Watanabe Tradition that the engagement between two royals will require gifts to the bride from the groom. He must present her with sets of jewels following the order of 2’s (either 2 sets, 4 sets, 6 sets, etc.)
If the groom were to show off to the parents of the bride, he must give her a minimum of 4 sets of jewelry in 4 different colors: sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and diamonds/pearls. Each set must include a necklace, ring, and a pair of earrings that match. If the bride’s family were to receive this gift, they must also give their gifts to the groom, which are in the form of wristwatches, also in the order of 2’s.
Such is the fate of a Watanabe blood line.
Taiki wishes to follow his brother’s decision in marrying in Watanabe tradition… But he does not have the money to do so as of yet. Knowing this, King Taiki therefore requires his daughters to marry in the same tradition.
It is a wonder, if the 7th child will be able to achieve the same…
