Michiyo-san…

The 3rd Child and 2nd daughter of the Nakashima Clan, Michiyo is a stranger to the 7th Child’s eyes… For most of the 7th Child’s life, she has rarely seen Michiyo, because Michiyo suffers a rare, non-life threatening, but very painful disease.

Michiyo has suffered wounds on her feet and legs ever since she was 12-years-old. Taiki-sama and Yumi-dono have gone to many healers and wizards seeking help for their child. But alas, no one could do anything to ease their daughter’s pain.

There’s was only one way for Michiyo to partially recover, and that was Hamano. The Magician’s Spirit in this country, known as Nayuki, slows the disease and closes some of her wounds, allowing her to walk. This was the only place in the World of Celestia where Michiyo could live an almost normal life.

And so, with the blessings of the King and his Queen, Michiyo married a resident of Hamano and lives there to this very day. She is very happy and she now has a son; their sister, Chiaki, lives with Michiyo and her family.

Michiyo desires to have the 7th Child live with her as well. But the 7th Child, having the pride of a Princess, decides to try and help her Motherland before truly giving up on it, the same as her siblings have… The 7th Child was given the chance to live with Michiyo-neechan for nearly 6 months in the past few years. Although the 7th Child got to learn a lot about her sister in that short span of time, it was still not enough to remove the feeling of astrangement between them.

I think it’s nice that some people don’t give up that easy. After all, what will become of the country if everyone starts giving up on her; if nobody tries to break free of the cycle.

    That’s true… :) It’s a bit hard for her though don’t you think?
