As mentioned earlier, I will be away for a couple of weeks to handle some personal matters - have a wonderful time!
As mentioned earlier, I will be away for a couple of weeks to handle some personal matters - have a wonderful time!
Something came up and I have to be offline for at least a couple weeks while out of the country very soon, so I am now asking if anyone is interested in contributing to this blog on my behalf while I am away.
If you are interested, please send me an email at hellomimi (at) hellokitty (dot) com with a short sentence why you think you will make a good contributor. If you are selected, I will send you the information on how to start contributing.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Spotted this on flickr while browsing around, hmm … I don’t think that will be my choice when the time comes!

This is a little freaky …. so I will leave it up to you if you want to follow the "read more …" thingy below to see the picture:
Hmm … as if we didn’t spend enough time on TVs and computers at home, there is now a Hello Kitty Pocket TV complete with a one-seg TV receiver (not sure what that means …), built-in speakers, rechargeable lithium battery that lasts up to 4.5 hours and a 2.4" screen:

The design is very cute, very similar to my Hello Kitty face camera (which I must say the picture quality is way more inferior than what I would have expected from an original Sanrio product). But since I am against children playing video games and watching movies etc., I am not supportive of the idea or the product itself ^^”””
Should you be interested though, it is available in Japan for 21,000 yen each beginning July 18th.
I know a lot of you have been wondering where can you have some of the things showcased here on my Hello Kitty blog - well, let me give all of you a quick note why I don’t include links to where you can order them from.
Most, if not all, of the items I mention on this blog are things that I personally find interesting online. Almost all of them came from Asian websites, which, are either in a language that most of you probably cannot read; or, they simply do not ship internationally. So rather than confusing people with websites that show monster words on their screens, or a website that simply won’t ship to those who is reading this blog - I intentionally left the where to find information out (unless they do ship to North America where I live - then I will state specifically in the article itself).
As one member said it very well - just by looking at pictures of some of the Kitty stuff already made our day. I would also add that, loving Hello Kitty does not necessarily mean having to own everything on earth with her face on it (don’t think it’s possible anyway!) - loving Hello Kitty came from within our hearts and to be kind to everyone just like Hello Kitty loves her many friends.
I hope you find this information to be helpful, and have a happy day filled with Hello Kitty!
Hmm … I notice recently some Hello Kitty products are a little OTT even for me:

I am not a pet person to begin with, the idea of having to service an animal is already overwhelming to me. So to have to stroll a pet around town so "it" does not has to walk is definitely OTT … something isn’t right here.
Oh well, I guess it might work for some people.
Got this image from an email forward - another bootleg item but it looks very cute mixing Hello Kitty with a famous Hong Kong icon - Mcdull! : )

While browsing around on Sweemie & Co.’s official webiste, I came across this Hello Kitty Wrongwrosk Colette limited Hello Kitty keychain/phone strap that looks really cute:
You can’t see the front side of Hello Kitty! It’s just the back side and she is wearing Bape Sta Shoes! How stylish!
Can be purchased only as a set from Summit for TW$540- : )
Looks so much fun - I think Ethan would love jumping on one when he’s older:

Anyone got something similar at home? Are they safe for kids?
Came across some Hello Kitty cars licensed by Sanrio while browsing on Yahoo! Taiwan auction, they are sooooooooooooooo cute!
Hello Kitty March in White (my fav!)

Hello Kitty March in Pink:

And look at the interior - it’s to die for!!!!

Also available is the Hello Kitty VINO motorcycle, sweet!
They are all so cute … but no so practical for a family of three, we did ride on a Hello Kitty car while we were in Taiwan tho (courtesy of Grand Hi-Lai Hotel) and this is what that looks like:

Absolutely love love love love love it!
(On a side note, it looks like there is too much photos on my free flickr account and some of my photos from the Taiwan trip is not showing up anymore … anyone want to purchase me a gift account? I am too cheap to get one! haha)
… but summer seems to be not ready for me yet! (Forecast reported a Lo of 7 today!)
Good news is: my Black Tokidoki hoodie and Thong Sandles from trendystars.com has arrived in the mail!

Bad news is: I have no clue when we will get to wear them! (hmm … this is my first thong sandles, hopefully I can manage!)
WARNING: Shown below is a scary fake of ‘Hello Kitty’, view at your own risk! : )
Saw this really cute Hello Kitty cellphone ad for SoftBank while browsing for anpanman videos on youtube for my son to watch:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6J8gULFM0Ks
Didn’t know Kitty will go so well with rock music!
Enjoy : )
Hmmm … I am not so sure about this one: Having a cat walk a dog?

I am neither a cat or dog person so this is definitely not for me … but if you are interested in getting one, try here.
I wrote an article about Hello Kitty breads yesterday and posted it, but it’s now no where to be found!
Eh …… need to write it all over again? : (
The words have been out everywhere, Hello Kitty is going to model for Dior.
For the first time in history a cartoon character is going to be the model for a high end fashion line … and Hello Kitty has been chosen as the icon, no surprise huh? : )
Can’t seem to find any insider pictures yet, but let’s keep checking Vogue Nippon’s official website and I am sure we will see something real soon:
Whilst gathering pictures and stuff from the recent trip for new blog posts,
I saw one of the latest English post on the dashboard titled “HelloMiMi’s Hello Kitty Land”.
I thought it was something I have done wrong on my own blog,
but in fact, I have been selected for the Blog of the week on Sanriotown!
Thank you Sanriotown editors for liking my blog,
I will keep on posting more of my Kitty stuff up for everyone to enjoy!
Had a fabulous two weeks off with my husband and my son in Hong Kong, eat lots play lots buy lots!
Will try to get back in the Toronto time zone and start blogging again ASAP.
Miss you all =^.^==^.~=
There is a Hello Kitty Bakery in Japan where its name literally translates to “Kitty’s Walking Trail”. Thanks to my sister, I have been there once on a trip to Tokyo way back when.
Recently I noticed the making of Hello Kitty shaped buns have been published the Bakery’s official blog making me want to bake some just like what’s shown!
STEP 1 - SHAPING

STEP 2 - RISING

STEP 3 - GIVE THEM EYES AND EGG WASH

STEP 4 - TIME TO BAKE!

STEP 5 - FRESH OFF THE OVEN!

STEP 6 - DECORATE & READY TO EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!

They are sooooooooooo adorable!
When Ethan was less demanding, I used to bake homemade fresh buns for myself and my husband to enjoy as breakfast. But now that he required a lot more attention and is able to do a lot more dangerous actions, I have not turned on my bread machine for a looooooooooooooooooong time. Hopefully, some day, I can find myself a few spare hours and make some Kitty-chan and Anpanman buns as breakfast and snacks!
For more pictures of the bakery, click here! (It’s the cutest little bakery ever!)
P.S. There are new cinnamonroll shaped buns at the bakery, released just this month - equally as cute!
