Too bad this offer is for walk-in customers at the Fotomax Hong Kong stores only and not applicable to online orders …. why can’t we have these at our local photo labs???? : (

I have a pink jumbo Hello Kitty sitting in Ethan’s playroom which I use as a "wall protector" in case he decides to run to the windows - made a perfect cushion! 

This jumbo Hello Kitty was a birthday present from many many years ago and I have not seen a jumbo Hello Kitty being made for a few years now.  While browsing online, I saw that a new jumbo Hello Kitty has just been released, and this time in furry texture : )  (Mine was made with polyester)

It’s half the size of an adult!  CUTE : )

You have probably read about making your own Hello Kitty at Build-a-Bear on the official Sanriotown blog, but reading about it is never as fun as seeing somebody actually working on it.

While bloghopping, I was on HelloKittyJunkie’s website and saw that she has build her own Hula Hello Kitty at Build-a-Bear:

I especially loved the floral printed fitted underwear that fits Hello Kitty’s tiny little tail:

Wonder if they have the same thing at the Canadian stores?  But the closest shop around here is at Vaughmills which is still a little too far - with gas prices at the 120’s, we have determined to stay as close to home as possible!  Argh…

Good that I didn’t place a bid on eBay to get the Hello Kitty x tokidoki hoodie since I found it at regular price on trendystars.com, but I saw today that Sanrio.com is carrying a lot of the clothing items from the series too, so whoever still interesting in getting their hands on some of these can try there!

Too bad the cute Boston bag isn’t listed as one of the items available for sale though … which I thought was a pretty cute bag to carry around town. 

Just waiting for that someday when they come up with a Hello Kitty LV neverfull lookalike - that will be so cute to use as a diaper bag!!!

atmos, a famous sneaker store in Japan has released a new Hello Kitty Happy/Lucky bag containing five pieces of atmos x Hello Kitty clothings and accesosires last week on May 26th.

In recongition of this special release, atmos have asked famous actress Akkina to show up at the flagship store on June 1st to hand out a few of these Happy Bags to some lucky fans.  You can see the event here on youtube, or on this special page on atmos’ official website.

I personally am not a big fan of the atmos collection because Kitty’s facial features got replaced with the words ATMOS which looked funny to me.   However, I did have one atmos x Hello Kitty bag which my brother gave to me (it was a free gift from some Japanese magazine he read) and I use it to carry Ethan’s lunches and dinners when we have to go out to eat - practical I must say, black bags don’t get dirty easily!

If you want to get your hands on this Lucky Bag or other atmos x Hello Kitty items, you don’t have to travel to Japan for a change - as they actually ship to International addresses AND the website is available in English!!!  Check this link out =^.^=

With all the rain we are expecting to get in the coming months, Hello Kitty is equipping us well with trendy leopard printed umbrella and rain boots:

Animals print will continue to be hot for 2008 and combined our famous Hello Kitty, anyone carrying those in the rain will sure stand out!

(Plus this time the boots actually looks like rain boots so people won’t think we are crazy to wear winter boots out in the rain, haha)

Gotta love them!  Items are expected to release late May in Japan at 2,625 yen and 6,825 yen respectively.

Looking at them just makes me want to have Japanese for dinner haha.

I think A.D.M.J. (Accessories De Mademoiselle) is probably the first luxury handbags line which used Hello Kitty on its designs with a hafty price tag of NT$235,800/252,600 (=US$7,800-8,300!) on its Kitty Lux by ADMJ collection.  

Following the super expensive collection for X’mas 07, a more “collector friendly” collection was released in January 2008, titled the Hello Kitty x A.D.M.J. bags, which comes in three style:  Cookie Bag, Milky Bag and Foldy Bag (as shown below):

Of all three bags, I liked the Cookie bag most, which is also the pricest of all three (fyi, the bags retails between NT$9,980 to NT$23,500 or US$300-800).  

But I think I won’t splurge on a luxury Hello Kitty bag just yet - unless, of course, Marc Jacobs decides to design a LV x Hello Kitty bag someday : )

Came across this personal “selling” blog with a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff imported from Japan for sale while browsing online, some of the items are really fancy and romantic:

They would go so well with a French style home with all beige/white furniture, but unfortunately they only do trades within Hong Kong and the items are probably too fragile to send overseas anyway!

Came upon this series of Hello Kitty fine Jewelry by Kimora Lee Simmons while browsing around eBay to look for new things to put on my wishlist.

I am crazy about the whole collection … the diamond rings in Simply Kitty or Princess Kitty designs looks cute, but probably not for my age. And, with a price tag of US$4,250, I guess a Hello Kitty ring is not meant for me! (Afterall, I don’t even wear any ring after misplacing my wedding bands … ^^””””””)

Wonder where I can get one … she looks just like Master Ethan undressed waiting for his daily bath!  (Yeah, he loves to stand holding onto anything these days, but still not brave enough to stand or walk on his own.)

While leaving a feedback on Yahoo! auction for the guy who found me the Hello Kitty digital camera, I came across this item listed as the “most expensive item” currently on Yahoo! auction:

Apparently someone in Taiwan won this jumbo sized Hello Kitty from some contest/lucky draw and didn’t want to keep it so he/she is trying to sell it for a (big) profit.

As a Hello Kitty fan, will you buy this?

My answer would be No.

For one I hate to see people trying to make (unreasonable) profits from Hello Kitty, and, I honestly don’t know where I can fit something this BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG into my collection.

Just this past weekend I finally got my hands on this ultra-cute Hello Kitty digital camera:

Her face really turns red when you take a picture with it : )

The picture quality is so-so (due to the lack of focusing function - and/or the lack of skills from my end) but Master Ethan definitely loved playing with it. 

A must have collector’s item!!!!! 

Woke up bright and early this morning and went to a local 7-11 to pick up some breakfast and reading materials for a long MTR/bus ride in Hong Kong …

After getting some nice and fresh buns from the entrance, I can’t help but to have my eyes set on some ‘CNN’ magazine with Hello Kitty on the front cover.  Without much thinking (it was ‘too early’ for me to think!), I picked that up with a bottle of chocolate milk and walk to the MTR station.

Once I settled on the train, I soon realize the magazine is an ‘educational magazine’ designed for Chinese speaking students to learn english … oops, it just looks like someone can’t resist the cuteness! 

I guess I will keep the magazine to teach baby Ethan Chinese in the future, I am sure it works both ways, right?????

Also got a really cute Hello Kitty playhouse with lots of bouncing balls inside for baby Ethan last night, hopefully he won’t realize pink is not meant for baby boys anytime soon!   Will take a picture of that later : )

Wanted to get this for the loooooooooooongest time! 
I hope I will get my hands on one on my trip to Hong Kong this week!
