Hello Kitty Thermo Teapot

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Love tea?  Then you should defeinitely check on this item!

Perfect for the office, the new Hello Kitty Thermo Teapot claims to keep drinks hot (or cold) for up to 6 hours.

With improved thermo technology, you can even make Chinese herbal dessert or congee with boiled water added to this pot : )

I luuuuuuv the pink designs used on this pot but too bad it seems to be available in Taiwan only for about TW$450- (and it’s too hot now to drink from a thermo these days anyway!)

Cute Hello Kitty Bag!

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Definitely love Hello Kitty at her most original shape and red bow : )

Want one? You can spot one at JpMon.com at TW$880 each.  And yes they do deliver to oversea addresses =^.~=

Hello Kitty Piano

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Notice an auction in Yahoo! Hong Kong for an authentic Hello Kitty piano in brown where half the proceeds will go to the China Earthquake Relief.

The piano is really nice built by Yamaha and branded by Apollo - if anyone in Hong Kong is serious about buying a piano and wanted to do it with a good cause should definitely look into it!

World’s Largest Hello Kitty

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Can be found at Sanrio Gift Gate Elegant Shinjuku!

Measuring 2.5m high 1.7m in “diameter” (well, Hello Kitty is not a perfect circle!), it is claimed to be the largest Hello Kitty ever.  It was made to celebrate the Grand re-opening of this flagship store in Shinjuku which reopened on February 2, 2008.

The store holds over 5,000 merchandise and you can take a glimpse of this fabulous store at Sanrio Taiwan’s official website or get the latest product info of this store at its own official website.

Hello Kitty x More Water Promotion

Monday, May 26th, 2008

More Water is a popular water brand in Taiwan, and there is a promotion currently going on in Taiwan where each two More Water caps will get you a chance to win Hello Kitty items such as Nokia cellphone, free night stay at the Hello Kitty hotel room, etc. etc.

Since entry requires a valid Taiwanese ID number, I guess it’s not really open for oversea visitors, but it’s worth taking a look at their prizes anyway - I especially love the 8 glasses water bottle/dispenser!

For more details on this promotion, see this link.

Hello Kitty Portable Potty

Monday, May 26th, 2008

Finding a toilet for a potty training toddler might not be easy while taking a road trip this summer, so Hello Kitty worked with Combi to come up with a creative idea - a portable potty made with cardboard!

Can be used by both boys and girls, and can hold up to 200 cc of pee pee per specification  : )

Hello Kitty Intimate Apparel

Monday, May 26th, 2008

I guess Mr Kitty Hell will have a little more to worry about with Questina introducing a new line of intimate apparel featuring fully laced Hello Kitty underwears designed by Peach John:

The intimate wears come in two shades - black and purple or black and white, both got Hello Kitty details on the laces:

Available at the Ginza branch of Questina for 1,600-3,900 yen each.

I am all ready for summer …

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

… but summer seems to be not ready for me yet!  (Forecast reported a Lo of 7 today!)

Good news is: my Black Tokidoki hoodie and Thong Sandles from trendystars.com has arrived in the mail!

Bad news is:  I have no clue when we will get to wear them!  (hmm … this is my first thong sandles, hopefully I can manage!)

Hello Kitty Rain Gear

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

With all the rain we are expecting to get in the coming months, Hello Kitty is equipping us well with trendy leopard printed umbrella and rain boots:

Animals print will continue to be hot for 2008 and combined our famous Hello Kitty, anyone carrying those in the rain will sure stand out!

(Plus this time the boots actually looks like rain boots so people won’t think we are crazy to wear winter boots out in the rain, haha)

Gotta love them!  Items are expected to release late May in Japan at 2,625 yen and 6,825 yen respectively.

Hello Kitty Tour Bus

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

There is a chain of tour buses called the Hato Bus, which is one of Tokyo’s foremost sightseeing bus service, providing convenient one-day trips to all of Tokyo’s best tourist spots.

From their large selection of tours and buses, there are some specially decorated buses with Hello Kitty all over (and inside) them bringing tourists to Hello Kitty themed trips:

The buses run mostly short half day Tokyo trips and some even included meals.  One of them brings you to the famous Puroland (i.e. Tokyo’s “Hello Kitty Land”), yet another brings you to Odaiba - where you can find lots of shopping and a mini Eiffel Tower.  Absolutely love these places and love the Hello Kitty Hato Buses!  Hopefully our trip to Japan will materialize in the near future and I can ride on them for a first hand experience!

Hello Kitty Barbie - generation 2

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Sanrio in Japan has just come out with a new generation of Hello Kitty Barbie:

It looks a lot more sophiscated than the first generation, at least comparing to the one I have in my collection - which looks like a regular Barbie doll with Hello Kitty stickers on it.

The new Barbie will be available for pre-order on June 3rd with expected delivery date of July 26th at 5,670 yen each, for more details, see this link on Sanrio’s official website.

Hello Kitty Cooler Bags

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Continuing with the travel theme, now that Summer is around the corner, I have been looking for a cooler bag to hold Ethan’s dinners and lunches when we have to go out so food won’t turn bad before he gets to eat it.

The one I have currently is a blue Hello Kitty one, but it seems to leak water due to poor insulation so I have been looking ups and downs for a new good looking one - the rubbermaids one just won’t do it for me!

Here are some that I found on eBay and Yahoo:

None seems to do the trick for me … the OK looking ones are either way too big or way too small!  Anyone know of any good looking ones I can get?  I don’t want a blue/white rubbermaid box!  (lol)

Hello Kitty Travel Bags

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

Been on a travel mood lately because we have decided to take a short road (train) trip to Montreal for my birthday (and Ethan’s 19 months ‘birthday’ - we are both born on the 20th!)

So I thought I will browse around to see if there’s any cute bags or suitcases that I can get (one of my pink Hello Kitty suitcase broke on our way back home last time), and I found some of these at eBay:

^ See the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuur?

Not sure if they are authentic, but they sure look BIG!  (But probably still not enough to carry baby’s stuff for a 4 days trip!)

Hello Kitty Signature Pens

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Came across a few non-Sanrio made Hello Kitty Signature Pens while looking for new ideas for my wedding planning clients:

Perfect for a Hello Kitty fan’s wedding!  Too bad I found them a little too late or I think Queen would have loved to have some at her wedding!

No, they are not edible - but hey, they are CUTE!

These are actually cellphone straps with Hello Kity dressed up as egg, salmon, shrimp, and even futomaki : )

Looking at them just makes me want to have Japanese for dinner haha.

To grab one (or more) Hello Kitty sushi, check it out here

Perfect time to visit Japan

Monday, May 19th, 2008

As you might have already find out, Hello Kitty has recently been appointed as Japan’s Tourism ambassador for China and Hong Kong by Yokoso Japan.

As a result, there will be a Chinese blog in the official tourism blog in the Yokoso Japan website and there will also be Hello Kitty stuff featured around Japan.

Hopefully she will stay as the tourism ambassador for a little longer coz we already used up all our vacation time this year and the earliest time we can possibly go will be in 2009!   \(*O*)/

If you will be going to Japan in the near future, here is an article by Associated Press about her appointment, plus a video on MSNBC if you want to find out more before you go!

Hello Kitty & Anpanman Pancakes

Monday, May 19th, 2008

It was YeungBaBa’s birthday in the lunar calendar last week, instead of baking a cake, I prepared some Hello Kitty and Anpanman pancakes for him as breakfast:

They were made with my recent purchase from Yahoo! Hong Kong auction - turns out the Hello Kitty pan didn’t work as well as the Anpanmna pan, either it’s the material or the special shape of Kitty’s face.  We can’t really see much of Kitty’s feature except for her nose.

But tastes great nonetheless - since it’s thicker than what we usually made without the special pans, they are extra soft and fluffy!

Yum Yum!

Hello Kitty x Anna Sui Bag

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Definitely not my cup of tea, don’t think skull works with Hello Kitty AT ALL!

But the theme of skulls + black and white seems to be hit in the Sanrio world these days … with Kuromi and all those other new characters.

Hmm … maybe I am old school, I like Hello Kitty plain and simple in a red ribbon!

A true Hello Kitty Bathroom

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Now you can have a true Hello Kitty Bathroom completed with Hello Kitty themed sinks, facuets, and potty!

Made by Petty International Co. Ltd. in Taiwan, they are for sale at US$700 & up, and this is what you get with all the pieces together:

Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeely!

(I heard they will be using fixtures of similar nature at the Hello Kitty Resort / Hotel … can’t wait to see them unfold!)
