My Hello Kitty Kitchen

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Bought this really cute item for my kitchen during our recent trip to Hong Kong which inspired me to start a blog article about my kitchen.

Although I no longer have a pink shaded kitchen like I used to at our first place (a condo), my new kitchen has a lot more room for me to put my stuff so they don’t have to be hiding above the fridge nor down in the basement locker.

Here is the latest addition to my kitchen - a Hello Kitty Babies Shelf:

I really really liked it and it works well to keep all the spoons and forks and straws and scissors and lunchboxes for Master Ethan, LOVE IT!

Other things I have in my kitchen includes:

A toaster oven made in 1998 - still in perfect working condition!

A tissue box cover for me to put everything I need to clean up Master Ethan (I think this is one of the very first gift YeungBaBa ever bought me!)

A utility box to hold our extra food items (my extended pantry which used to hide at the back of my CR-V)

and of course a few Hello Kitty shopping bags to hold our groceries : )

There are a few other things there which I have forgotten to take pictures of like our pair mugs, bowls and seasoning rack, but I think you get an idea how Hello Kitty is around my kitchen everywhere … hehehehehehe

Hello Kitty Wedding Guestbook in Chinese Style

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

During our recent trip in Hong Kong, we saw a very nice and unique looking Wedding Guestbook embroidered with Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel dressed in Chinese costumes at Jusco.

Needless to say, I immeidately thought of Miss Queen who is getting married in a few weeks.

The book sells for something around HK$168 at Jusco and if I am not yet married I would definitely get one for my wedding … too bad my second wedding anniversary is just around the corner! lol

Queen - maybe you can consider getting one for the HK part of your wedding banquet =^.^=

Flowers! Flowers! Flowers!

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

After filing multiple complaints to YeungBaBa, YeungMaMa finally got her very first Hello Kitty flowers bouquet:

BaBa got them for me from Shating Plaza III at the Yume flower shop, while we went shopping there and had lunch with one of his aunts.

Gotta be one of the cutest flowers I have ever received in my life!

I have disassembled the bouquet when it dried out and kept all the ‘Hello Kitty parts’, and will try to replicate the design with some silk flowers so I can keep it “fresh” forever!

Let’s hope it will work out!

The making of Hello Kitty breads

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

There is a Hello Kitty Bakery in Japan where its name literally translates to “Kitty’s Walking Trail”.  Thanks to my sister, I have been there once on a trip to Tokyo way back when.

Recently I noticed the making of Hello Kitty shaped buns have been published the Bakery’s official blog making me want to bake some just like what’s shown!

STEP 1 - SHAPING

STEP 2 - RISING

STEP 3 - GIVE THEM EYES AND EGG WASH

STEP 4 - TIME TO BAKE!

STEP 5 - FRESH OFF THE OVEN!

STEP 6 - DECORATE & READY TO EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!

They are sooooooooooo adorable!

When Ethan was less demanding, I used to bake homemade fresh buns for myself and my husband to enjoy as breakfast. But now that he required a lot more attention and is able to do a lot more dangerous actions, I have not turned on my bread machine for a looooooooooooooooooong time. Hopefully, some day, I can find myself a few spare hours and make some Kitty-chan and Anpanman buns as breakfast and snacks!

For more pictures of the bakery, click here! (It’s the cutest little bakery ever!)

P.S.  There are new cinnamonroll shaped buns at the bakery, released just this month - equally as cute!
