Off for two weeks …

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Going to be off for two weeks starting tomorrow spending quality time with Master Ethan in Hong Kong … will have limited access to the Internet during this time so please excuse me if there’s going to a lack of updates here on this blog.

If you have anything interesting Hello Kitty related you would like to share at the mean time, feel free to email me and I will post it here once I have a chance!

See you all again soon!

Shhhh … Hello Kitty’s naked!

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Saw this really cute Hello Kitty soap dish on flickr popping up as recent images from the Hello Kitty flickr group:

(Submitted by brilliantmoonforprincess)

Wonder where I can get one … she looks just like Master Ethan undressed waiting for his daily bath!  (Yeah, he loves to stand holding onto anything these days, but still not brave enough to stand or walk on his own.)

Do you golf?

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

I don’t coz I am scared of getting sun burn from “excsesive exposure to the sun”, but this golf bag that I found while browsing through eBay sure looks cute:

But I think I will still let BaBa use up my golfing quota … hohohoho

Awwwww … how cute!

Another thing which I would have bought if Master Ethan is a girl …

Oh well, he never really enjoyed his with little lambs hanging anyway …

Available from Target for US$24.99 each.

Eight glasses a day is good for you …

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

… water that is.

This cute water dispenser is available from Target for US$19.99.

It’s cute in pink but I have seen a Hello Kitty shaped one from some other person’s blog which looks even cuter.  Should have asked her where she got it from but I kept forgetting to!!!!!!

Did you have your 8 glasses today?

New from Target?

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Haven’t been to a Target shop for quite some time due to the poor weather in Toronto …. have to go south again soon when all the snow melts!

Got a newsletter from Target.com in my mailbox and I manage to find this cute little thing after a few clicks around Target.com:

For those who haven’t seen it yet, guess what it is?

My Sanrio Digital Hello Kitty USB Stick : )

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Have been using this for a few days but keep forgetting to write about it.

To test out the featurs, I have created a video on Dream Studio using my other alias on Sanriotown (which I use to write a blog about my life in general) which double as a ‘gift’ for YeungBaBa on our upcoming 2nd Wedding Anniversary.

And apparently a lot of people liked the video and have voted the video as one of the top three entries for the “Love is …” video contest.  So as a runner up, I got a cute USB stick with Hello Kitty’s face on it:

The USB stick is super tiny and the packaging is quite cute - Master Ethan would not resist but keep biting on both whenever he got his hands on them.

And so the USB stick has now been officially water tested - it works even after a 14 months old biting on it!  lol

Problem with using a Hello Kitty Octopus

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

The balance on my Hello Kitty Octopus was running really low this past weekend so I have to go refill it with more money.

Unlike the regular Octopus card which you can insert into one of those “automatic machines” and refill with cash, mini Octopus cards and other Octopus devices must be refilled at specific stations such as cashiers at 7-11, wellcome supermarket, etc.

And so I went to the Wellcome supermarket right at where we stay in Hong Kong, and ask the cashier lady to help me to recharge my Hello Kitty Octopus for me.

She starred at me and give me a blank look when I pass her the tiny Hello Kitty hanging on my LV neverfull GM …. “Huh?”

“Hmm … this is my octoupus”, I said.

As if I am lying, she kept starring at me and asks me to put what I claimed to be my “Octopus” at the “recharge point”.

The machine then “beep!” loudly signaling a successful recharge.

The cashier lady still looked a little puzzled, but at least my Octopus is now well stocked with money to shop and travel with me wherever I go!

Well, at least my Octopus is less prone to theft I suppose!

Will you buy this?

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

While leaving a feedback on Yahoo! auction for the guy who found me the Hello Kitty digital camera, I came across this item listed as the “most expensive item” currently on Yahoo! auction:

Apparently someone in Taiwan won this jumbo sized Hello Kitty from some contest/lucky draw and didn’t want to keep it so he/she is trying to sell it for a (big) profit.

As a Hello Kitty fan, will you buy this?

My answer would be No.

For one I hate to see people trying to make (unreasonable) profits from Hello Kitty, and, I honestly don’t know where I can fit something this BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG into my collection.

What’s your thoughts?

Happy Life in White

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Since moved into our new house in Markham, we have been using a lot of white furniture around the house to match with the existing white shutters (plus white is now the new pink with two guys at the house).

And when I see this line of really elegant Hello Kitty furnitures on sanrio.co.jp, I am speechless:

How pretty, how pretty, how pretty!

And it’s in my favourite “french style” with all those elegant curvy lines!

Definitely ranked top on my favourite Hello Kitty products ever existed - but problem being, how do you move them all the way from Japan AND how do I convince YeungBaBa we need yet more white furnitures????  lol

Hello Kitty for Mommies

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

2008.5.11 will mark the second mother’s day in my life …

It’s still a little early for Master Ethan to know what’s going on, so the ‘burden’ of celebrating this day will fall on YeungBaBa (as with all other important dates) ^____^

While looking for a link to the Hello Kitty digital camera on sanrio.co.jp this morning, I saw that they are having a Mother’s Day pre-order promotion going on!

Necklace + Flowers package:

Flowers only package:

They all look cute but I am not sure if I wanted these for Mother’s Day … maybe all I needed is a one day off without having to do ANYTHING! hohohohohohohohohoho

McMug x Ella Easter Function (non KT related)

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Since Ethan’s poh poh lives at Vision City, we managed to see the McMug easter feature at City Walk in Tsuen Wan on Friday.

Obviously the marketing budget for the McMug event is not as big as those of the Hello Kitty event at Telford plaza, this is the only interesting thing from the event:

In case you are wondering - it is a bouncer trampoline in McMug shape that can fit maximum maybe 2-3 kids.

Since Ethan’s still little and with all the flu and germs spreading around town, we didn’t let him go in to play … but I must say I am a little disappointed with the lack of things to see at this event : (

Hello Kitty + XO x 2008 Beijing Olympics

Monday, March 24th, 2008

We managed to go to Telford Plaza on Saturday to meet a friend and his wife for a nice lunch at Ruby Tuesday before we visit the Hello Kitty + XO Olympics features at the plaza.

The plaza was small and packed but the main feature was amazing featuring a Hello Kitty & Friends “Great Wall”:

No flowers … but I’ve got chocolates!

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Didn’t get any flowers for my 23-months ‘wedding anniversary’ (mainly due to us haven’t visited any places with yume flowers shop over the past few days), but I have got some chocolates:

BaBa got them for me from three-sixty at ELEMENTS during our visit this past weekend.  The chocolates are ‘bow shaped’ and are tea flavored - how cute!

The chocolate didn’t taste the greatest (not a big tea fan) but I love the chocolate colored bow on the packaging - have to keep all the packaging after I finish all the chocolates hehehehehehehe

Thank you, BaBa!

Hello Kitty Digital Camera

Monday, March 24th, 2008

I’ve Got it Got it Got it!

Just this past weekend I finally got my hands on this ultra-cute Hello Kitty digital camera:

Her face really turns red when you take a picture with it : )

The picture quality is so-so (due to the lack of focusing function - and/or the lack of skills from my end) but Master Ethan definitely loved playing with it.

A must have collector’s item!!!!!

Supppppper busy!!!!!!

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Had an ultra busy long weekend filled with lots of foods and events … will need to catch up and update on the various things we have done this past weekend sloooowly, stay tuned!

Another possible plan for this weekend (non-KT related)

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Saw some sort of McDull promotion banner on our way to my mom’s place last weekend and found some information on the plaza’s website today:

http://www.citywalk.com.hk/

Looks cute!

Maybe we will go check it out if we go visit Master Ethan’s Poh Poh this weekend (but I think she is going to China without us!)

Plans for the weekend!

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Thanks for Miss Pink’s suggestions, we finally have plans for this weekend!

Was chatting with BaBa this morning where to go this weekend coz Shatin, MongKok and APM are probably all too crowded for us to go with Master Ethan … it will probably be quite crowded at this place too, but at least it’s something MaMa will looooooooooooooove to see:

Wonder why I don’t see any advertisement on this event on the MTR the past couple days — Telford obviously was supposed to be a MTR sponsored plaza!

Anyway, my plans for visiting McDull & Friends @ Tsuen Wan has now been changed officially to Hello Kitty & Friends at Telford Plaza this Saturday hehehehehehehehehehe

Follow me on Twitter!

I can’t seem to get the twitter box to show up probably here though … anyone knows how? : )

Hello Kitty Octopus

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

On my last trip to Hong Kong, YeungBaBa told me about some Hello Kitty octopus he saw while he shops at 7-11 the day we are supposed to leave town.  Since I don’t go to 7-11 often, I decided to check it out at the 7-11 at the airport and found this:

Source: http://www.octopus.com.hk/release/detail/tc/20071120.jsp

It’s too cute to resist I immediately picked up the one in red.  But since it’s a little plush, I have to wrap it in plastic before putting it into use or Kitty will turn BLACK ^^””””

And this morning when I register my Octopus card for the Reward program to get some points from our daily grocery shopping for baby Ethan, I realize there is two new mini octopus cards design featuring Hello Kitty complete with a cute phone strap:

Source: http://www.octopus.com.hk/release/detail/tc/20080121.jsp

The fruits one is really cute and this one is not so prone to dirtiness but I can’t use two octopus at the same time (and I already have one unused regular card back home in Canada!) … I guess I have to pass on this one this time!
