In celebration of the one-year anniversary of the collaboration between Japan’s "Empress of Pop" Ayumi Hamasaki and Sanrio, limited-edition products such as stationery and keychains have been produced, called "Premium Countdown Live" items!

The products feature Ayumi Hamasaki’s cartoon version Ayupan wearing a Hello Kitty hat. Some of the products feature distinctive logos that highlight both icons, like the presence of the red bow Hello Kitty is known for, or Ayumi Hamasaki’s trademark.

Teen celebrity Miley Cyrus had a very pleasant surprise during the American Music Awards last Sunday, November 23. As she walked the red carpet, she was given a Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty "Glam Kitty" (which is three carats of diamonds) for her 16th birthday, courtesy of Thea Andrews of Entertainment Tonight.

Miley Cyrus was delighted when she received the gift. "Hello Kitty’s my fave! Oh my Lord. it’s gorgeous. That is beautiful!"

"Hello World", the first-ever full-length Hello Kitty album in the USA will finally be available in the next month!

The 10-track album is a must-have for Hello Kitty fans all over. The first single "Come On, Come On" is performed by Keke Palmer, actress, singer, and self-confessed Hello Kitty aficionado, and is already played by major radio stations.

"Hello World" is going to be launched exclusively on iTunes starting September 30, and at Wal*Mart stores on October 7. The album will also be available on Sanrio stores by January 9.

The bubbly, pink-loving twins of “Big Brother” UK are here! Samantha (or “Sam”) and Amanda Marchant, popularly known as Samanda, have made Sanriotown their brand new blog home! Singers, song writers, actresses, sisters duo Aly and AJ have a new tour bus… that’s full of Hello Kitty stuff as far as the eye could see..!
