Our “Hello Kitty and Friends” trailer on Hong Kong YouTube has garnered over 1,000,000 hits!

The video is actually a trailer for the “Hello Kitty and Friends” series, the latest show released by Sanrio about your favorite cute characters, but this time, in 3-D. Not only is it cute, but it also is educational, and kids are sure to learn a lot in its episodes.

Guess what? It hasn’t been released, and yet “The Adventures of Hello Kitty & Friends” has already won an award!

The series has won the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007 Digital Entertainment Award for Best Digital Animation TV series, held last 21 January 2008. The body recognizes the best works produced in Hong Kong in terms of digital entertainment.

“The Adventures of Hello Kitty & Friends” is the first Sanrio series made entirely in CGI, and it follows the stories of friends Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel, Badtz-Maru, Pochacco, My Melody, and Keroppi, with the special appearances of other well-loved characters. While the tales may be funny and entertaining, they are also loaded with values, making it a show worth watching by the whole family.

Hello Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy star in this new 2D Japanese animated series.

No official English translation have been released as of yet, but there are already 8 DVDs about Hello Kitty and Mimmy’s adventures in the Apple Forest.

The first season “Hello Fantasy” deals Hello Kitty and Mimmy’s mission to rescue the princess of the Apply Forest. They know that the golden apple is the key to finding her, but where they can find it is another thing all together.

The second season “Hello Mystery” shows Hello Kitty and Mimmy as detectives in solving the mysteries surrounding the Apple Forest. Their detective work allows them to play out different characters, from magician’s assistants, to fortune tellers, and even find themselves magically changed into mermaids!

The DVDs cost 1,575 yen each, each volume containing 3 episodes of the series (with the exception of the special bonus episode in volume 4 of Hello Mystery). They are all available in Sanrio Japan.

This 55-minute feature has 5 adorable episodes of your favorite Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pom Pom Purin, and Badtz Maru!
