The Japanese Company of Computers in Japan known as NEC have released a pink, 15.4 inch Notebook PC designed with 299 pieces of Swarovski Crystals in Japan, for a price of 199,500 yen.

The notebook PC is a Sempron 3400+ (1.6 GHz) with a 1GB memory (maximum of 2GB) and a built in AMD ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 +!XP 460 video card. You get a 100GB HDD and a + R DL DVD drive. There is a USB port, Firewire port, Type 2 PC card slot, the SD card / memory stick (PRO), and wireless LAN. The nickel hydrogen battery can last for approximately 1.8 hours.

The Notebook PC is about 360mm x 260mm x 36.6-48mm in size and weighs about 3.3kg.heart charm

Sanrio has released a new design for Hello Kitty in line for the Beijing Olympics.

Ahead of next year?s Summer Games, Japan?s iconic cat will merge with China?s most popular animal in a new design depicting Hello Kitty in a panda-like black and white outfit.

?The Olympics are coming up. That is what we have in mind,? said Kazuo Tomatsu, a spokesman for Hello Kitty maker Sanrio Co.

The company has yet to unveil the exact products for the Olympic tie-in.

The Angel and Devil Series was newly released in the Japanese site, giving way to a number of matching products… Perfumes, watches, and dresses, catering more the Hello Kitty’s older fans.

Hello Kitty seems to be following the “evil” trend started by Kuromi, aka the “Evil My Melody”. Sanrio fans soon found Lloromanic as the evil siblings or cousins of the Cinamoroll and CinamoAngels, and we knew that we wouls soon have the “evil” Hello Kitty.

Products for Hello Kitty’s new look is still limited, but we shall hopefully see more of this merchandise soon.
